Your song Angel Eyes was used in a birthday video I made for my wife a few years ago, and it's a vastly appropriate song for me to have given her. Thank you for that special gift that I was able to give to her.

Arguably the best ever...only Eddie, Eric, Stevie could see. I know he's up there jammin' with Jimi and Stevie and the Gang. Thanx to him, I know anything can be done if the passion and drive is there. A fine example of a man on all fronts. "Was Blind but now I See" Thanks Jeff!

We had a chance to see you in concert at the same time that our son was playing in an important gig. He had been bullied all his life,so to see him up on stage, with people seeing him for the talent he had hidden all these years was a great feeling,as parents, we had to support him, sorry. It is a shame that we missed you,but your music will always be in our hearts x

I was always a Jeff fan, loved everything he did. Moved to the USA a while back and so I don't get much in the way of Canadian news. I had bought a new MP3 player and started looking online for his stuff to download and I it was on Q107 online that I heard he had past away. Wonderful soul this man had, he will not be forgotten,,,,,,,,may your wings stretch far and wide and your music continue to bring enjoyment to those that have always loved you and to those who will be new listeners.

Not only was Jeff among one of the greatest musicians and musicologists of our time, he was a true genius in many things other than music. He posesssed a computer - like memory - recalling incedents and information in minute detail that he absorbed years, if not decades before, accurately and often with added insite and humour on his part. Jeff had a wry sense of humour, often catching many off guard. He could mimic voices of friends and cartoon characters alike with the greatest of ease, and enjoyed 'entertaining' others with this talent. Jeff was a sensative man, who above all else loved his family and friends, and was happiest when surrounded by them. We all miss you Jeff. We miss your musical talents, your laughter, the laughter you brought us and your amazing talent and genius, but most of all, we miss the man.

As you go through life, a few musicians touch us in a personal way, For me and my lifes journey, Jeff Healey was one such person. His talent and ability made him world class, and he will be missed. I can't describe my inner feelings, when I heard the news of his passing. As a man who has beaten cancer twice, to hear of Jeff falling to this terrible illness, is very very sad. May he play in eternity, with all the blues greats who have gone before him. R.I.P. (from northern England).

Jeff inspired me to be all that I could be on the guitar after seeing him -front row roughly 10 years ago. What a great musician and what a great personality as well. Thankyou Mrs. Healey as well for putting on the best concert ever at the docks ( yes we were there ! ) Our hearts go out to you and your family. Your husband will be remembered as one class act. May he rest in peace.

I have always loved Jeff Healey, I was fortunate enough to see him in San Juan Capistrano at the Coach House a few years ago, He floored me with his guitar playing. He might have lost his eyesight , but God truly blessed him with his enormous talent. My sincerest condolences to his family on their loss....God blessed us all when he brought Jeff into our lives....I will never forget him

I was able to get back stage passes to his show. Took my guitar in hopes that he'd autograph it. He did! With our arms around each others shoulders, I told him I loved him and his music, he said love ya too and thanks. Asked him if he would sign my guitar(his bass player Joe wouldn't until Jeff did)he said sure. I put the Sharpie in his hand I held my guitar up so he could sign, and his lady friend(I think she may have been his manager) directed his arm. And my wife not believeing what was happening didn't take one pcture with a camara hanging around her neck!!! I loved his music, but it wasn't until I saw him LIVE could you appreciated the talent GOD gave him. Get his Live in London video if you never saw him live. I pray God comforts and gives peace to his family

Mr. Healey is one of those brilliant musicians that inspire you to try harder, but is also so incredible that you wonder if there's any point in trying anymore cause people like that have such a special gift that they tend to cover all the bases. But I suspect he would have thought that was lame and would have said "pick up your guitar (or whatever instrument) and PLAY! Thank you Jeff; you are missed and always will be appreciated. Much love to your family.

I just found out, I was sick in the hospital when this happened so I missed this. I fell in love with Angel Eyes the first time I heard it. I used it for my (then) wedding last dance song. I've remarried since but I still LOVE angel eyes, it's a great album!!!!! What a loss - Darn Cancer! Enough already! All my heartfelt sympathy goes out to his wife and kids "I'm so sorry" he will not be forgotten! Gina

I will be honest, I had never heard of Jeff Healey when I first heard his cover version of 'While my guitar gently weeps' on a compilation CD. I thought to myself 'Wow, this guy is good' and I looked him up on the Internet. I couldn't believe it when I read that he was blind.....to be able to play like that with no eyesight....awesome. A great loss to music, but especially to his young family at the age of 41. A great musician.

16 years ago I took the love of my life to see Jeff at LuLu's in Kingston. It was an amazing night we will always remember. I did not know him personally but admired his music and the way he will always make me feel when I hear it. We were at the Celebration in Toronto Saturday and have now created another amazing memory we can hold onto. All the best to Cristie who was much stronger than I could have been in the same circumstances.

I didn't make it to see Jeff and his band play and that was a great disappointment for me. I'm from a younger generation but have a taste for the old school (thanks largely to my brothers). My brother closest in age introduced me to Jeff's music, and I've never been able to pass him over since. There has only ever been a couple of musicians I can't get enough of and "The Jeff Healey Band" has always been one. I am forever grateful for that which he has left behind for all of us to enjoy his contributions to the music world will forever immortalize him, at least in my mind. I would like to extend my condolances to those who loved him, he will be missed.
