I can't stop thinking of the two little girls and their families. We have grandchildren including a seven year old little girl and I can't imagine the feelings of something like this happening. Hopefully, they will find the guilty ones and you can find closure although they will always be in your heart.

I just sit here and shake my head. Two innocent children, just taking a walk. How could we even think something would happen. My heart and prayers go out to all of the families. This is a hard time for the ones left behind. There will always be questions even if the guilty ones are found. The Grandfather that found the girls will live with this memory forever and he will need the other family members help to deal with this. May you find peace with your faith and I pray for you. Know that Taylor & Skyla are in the hands of the Lord. Annette Witherspoon

We can't even imagine what these families are going through. But do know that across the country people are praying for you, thinking of you, and hoping justice is served soon. God Bless these 2 Precious Little Angels.

Your story has broken our hearts. We don't understand how someone can hurt others, especially our precious children. Please know that we think of you daily and our prayer is that you find peace and comfort through your memories of Skyla and Taylor. We wil be checking often to see if the girls and you have found justice here on earth. If justice is not served here on earth, you can be assured that in the end, those responsible will face The Almighty for the ultimate justice. God Bless You and Keep You Through It All

These 2 precious girls are in the arms of God. We will miss them and everything they would have contributed to this world. We pray for peace and comfort for the families and justice. We will be reunited with our loved ones when Jesus returns. It's more than obvious the end is near.

How could anyone shoot these baby girls and live with themselves?? I have a 12 year old girl and god knows if I scould her...she makes me cry!! So how could these heartless monsters look these girls in the eye and kill em?! I hope they find the killers fast and ease the hearts and minds of the Oklahoma community. My heart goes out to the friends & families...and mostly to the grandpa who had to make such a gruely discovery!! May God be with you all and bring you peace when you lay these angels to rest. Our hearts and prayers are with you all!

I have three beautiful nieces, with two the same age as Skyla & Taylor. My heart breaks for your loss, and it saddens me to know that they were so innocent and only trying to enjoy life. My nieces play so hard every day, and it's hard to get them to come inside because they love playing with their friends. I love knowing they are just being kids and having a great time, but this type of tragedy makes us want to not let them do anything, and that's not fair either. Your families are in our prayers.

Go with God Skyla and Taylor. I, too, followed your path everyday and cannot stop crying for you. Everyone here in Bryant and Weleetka hopes for swift justice. We continue to support the families in any way we can. The angels cried today during both services, but the sun will soon shine again. We love you, sweet babies.

We send both the families our deepest sympathy and hope that the police will find the person or persons who did this horriable thing to these 2 little innocent victims. We no that nothing will ever bring them back but maybe by finding those responsable for it will bring these families a small amount of comfort. Both the families will be in our thoughts for a very long time.

I just can't stop thinking about Taylor and Skyla and this senseless tradgedy... Both of theses young girls had their whole life ahead of them and in an instant they are gone. May they fly with their wings in heaven for eternity....

I've been following this story since everything has happened. I'm deeply saddened by this tragedy. But they are safe now. Even though we would love for them to be back home, we know in our hearts that they are safe and in a better place now. I wish the families and friends nothing but the best during this difficult time. Keep your heads up and be strong for everyone else. Easier said than done, but just know you are in my thoughts and prayers. 0:-)

I followed your path so many days as a child growing up on the dirt roads of Oklahoma. Carefree days of throwing dirt clods, finding bugs, kicking a rock down the road. It has been 28 years since I was your age, but this should have never ever happened to you! Innocent little girls enjoying life! May the golden streets of heaven bring you the peace and harmony that every child should have had on this earth. My heart aches for you. I am so sorry. Lisa Thomas

My wife was raised here in Weleetka with Graham and Bryant as our neighbors to the East, though not much has been said about those towns. But for folks like my wife and I, the people in those rural communities make all the difference in the world. Some 30 years ago, my wife and I - both having just finished our tours in the Navy - returned to her hometown. She graduated in the class of '68 from Weleetka. I was from Virginia and had come to visit her folks. I was so impressed by the love and kindness of complete strangers waving to me as we traveled down Hwy. 75 to Weleetka that we decided to stay here! We stayed and raised our only daughter that graduated Valedictorian of her class from Weleetka High School. We loved the small town because we felt safe and sheltered. Drugs were not often mentioned in the paper and violent crimes were nearly non existent. The worst things mentioned in the weekly paper might be speeding or someone stealing watermelons. The world has change and the evilness has crept in around us. Even though I never met the girls personally, I know relatives of theirs. In towns the size of Bryant, Graham and Weleetka, everybody knows everybody else; in some way of another. That why we told our girl she could never get away with anything because someone was always out there waiting to spread a little gossip. No longer do we live in the days where we can leave our doors unlocked while we run to town to check the mail. It's not wise to leave our car and truck doors unlocked on "main street". This thing I do know... we live and worship in "The Bible Belt". Weleetka has about 12 churches and with a population of 1200, that means that there is a good possibility that the majority of people per week are praying for God to grant these grief stricken families with His peace and that those individuals that are guilty of this crime to be brought to justice quickly. Simple math would dictate that I would not want to be running from the law or God on this matter as THEY WILL BE CAUGHT and they will BE PUNISHED... whether by man or God. While some would ask "how could a loving God allow this to happen to these two girls"? I do not presume to know the answer other than we serve an "on time" God who is a loving father and His timing may not be our timing nor within our understanding; I just have to trust that my God is big enough to handle my anger and confusion and will help those who grieve to just make it through until the next sunrise. Father God will act in His right time and those involved will be brought to justice in a way that only God could explain, even if He uses the talents and skills of men. It is the enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy; not God. And since the Devil is the father of lies and is a braggart, those who did this murder will not be able to remain silent forever. They will have to brag about their crime and the words of their lips will be their snare and downfall. For though our tears my dry up and we become weak and without strength, the very blood that was spilled cries out to Father God for vengeance. For God has said "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord."

May your good memories stay strong and deep. Grandpa you will have 2 Angels, strong in their bond on earth stronger in their bond in heaven, watching over you. Listen to the sounds of God in all of nature, see the love of your angels in the animals they loved. When someday you go "HOME" they will be there waiting. Until then keep them close to your heart.

My deep condolences to all who loved Taylor and Skyla into the friendship and sweetness of days they knew together, and for all who knew them in their caring community. This story is extraordinarily sad. Even more delicate care wished for the grandfather who found the bodies of these angels for his additional trauma.
