Hi Mar it's getting closer to the arrival of another great grandson for you Steve and Steph are busy fixing up the baby's nursery just a lillte bit over three months and counting before he arrives!!! It is amazing to me this month will make a year since you have been gone. My heart has known it and been broken ever since. Today is February 14th Valetine's day Mar its a windy, cold day but we had a few warm days last week. I went to the store to get Andrew something for Valetine's Day walked bye a huge box of Russel Stover chocolates I remember how much you loved chocolates I'm sad because I know I can't but them for YOU this year I did buy a smaller box of them for Andrew . Hi Mar I just came back from taking a walk up town in Marion today the temps are in the fifties it's so refreshing to breathe in some fresh air everyone is getting restless being stuck in the house so much this winter. I saw two blue jays and one red robin on the way they were chirping away as I walked bye I thought of you at that moment how you would put the bird seed bell in the front trees for the birds to feast on in the cold winter months I looked for one of those bird seed bells for my yard but couldn't find one anyway Mar hopefully Spring will be here soon!!!! love you always-Janis

Hi Mar today is a snowy ,rainy, sleeting type of day but I guess that's expected for end of January 2009. Well Mar we are 4 days into the new year 2009 . I have alot to be grateful for this year... Steve and Stephanie expecting their first child in June I believe this baby would be your fifth great granchild isn't that just great news Mar! Andrew is growing up so fast he's going to be seven in April. Thomas and Emma are healthy and growing so fast they all miss you and don't understand why Nana isn't here with us but we tell them you are here everyday watching over us and helping us along the way. Well it is here...2009' and yet it is time that has passed and I know it is supposed to heal but for me I have reflected back on the past year and how many times you were missed,so many times i wanted you to be there Mom-to see Joey& Katy getting Married,To get the news Keith and Shannon expecting a Baby Girl in May,Josh turning 21yrs old in March,and so much more...I am trying not to feel selfish saying all of this,it really is so hard not to have you as part of the family gatherings,yuor presence always made everything all right..I am trying to do just that and somehow,it's not feeling right,I know you are watching over us and that you have been there for me when i just didn't have the strenghth and answers I needed,I still don't !! I remember when the Christmas lights would flash on the ceiling in the dining room and how pretty it looked. Mar would hear us whispering and would tell us it was time to go to sleep because Santa was coming soon. Oh Mar I miss you so much..... Love you always.. Barbie.

Remember how we all looked forward to lining up on the living room couch to sing christmas songs either in harmony or each one taking a verse while Mom sat by smiling at the free entertainment!! one time a group of carollers showed up at the door and Mom opened the door and stood there as they sang their melodies as if in a church choir,I think we were giggling in the background the whole time but Mom was the perfect audience to all of them!!! How I love to think of Mom getting us all prettied up in festive hair doos to go to the Kiwanis Club christmasa Party on the bridge!!! It was always fun to go and have a good time and a present to open not knowing what or who provided it.She always made sure we were together,that has always been so important to all of us-Thank you Mom for being so strong in those hard times but you never took away the Christmas spirit of giving and receiving...I will cherish these in my heart always..Love&Miss you dearly,Jeannexoxox
