Lucky, You had been a hero in the reggae music arena. Your songs remain a big remembrance of your living time. Your message through your songs will be there forever to teach the world about crime specifically the ones who turned the bullet to you that claimed your dear life. Dube i dearly miss you. May your soul rest in peace. Duku David Wilson Southern Sudan
ITS VERY PAINFUL TO LOSE THIS MAN.THE PERSON WHO KILLED YOU WILL NOT KONW PEACE IN LIFE TO DEATH.REST IN PEACE LUCKY DUBE . WE LOVE YOU .FROM GHANA
LIFE IS SO SHORT AND LUCKY'S LIFE WAS TAKEN SENSELESSLY BUT THANK GOD THAT HE LIVED A LIFE THAT TOUCHED SO MANY LIVES AND HE WILL ALWAYS BE A POSITIVE MEMORY FOR ALL OF US IN THE WORLD NOT JUST IN AFRICA. REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER, I LOVE YOU!
I have a B.Sc in Economics, a very good grade for that matter. What many people dont know is that Dube influenced my Ideolgy and life's philosophy.Since 1989 when I was in primary 5 i have listened to Lucky Dube's songs and messages. I learnt from his music that education is key, crime doesnt pay, drugs and corruption are harmful to the society and that God created us in his image so we are one. He lived for others, risked so much to liberate the oppressed, yet he was killed by his country men who he has done so much to help.Like in his crazy world, we are living in a crazy world. cos is only a crazy world that can kill a prophet like this man. yet, he has said it all , Rastas never die and he warned us earlier not to cry.....we will always remember him as we know he will remember us. We are all slaves and will remain Prisoners until his killers are brought to justice...He became my mentor, now he is gone...
LOVE FROM BEND OREGON!! LUCKY, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS
never 4get u dube
LUCKY DUBE YOU PREDICTED YOUR DEATH. WHENEVER I LISTEN TO THE SONG "SOLDIER" FROM THE ALBUM, THE OTHER SIDE, I BEGIN TO WONDER WHY YOU. LYRIC OF THE SONG SAYS: I SAW A MAN SITTING IN A ROOM HOLDING A GUN TO HIS HEAD. HE SAID MAN OH MAN WHAT AM I GONNA DO. I CAN'T CHANGE THE PAST BUT I CAN CHANGE THE FUTURE. IF I PULL THIS TRIGGER RIGHT NOW, RIGHT HERE EVERYTHING WILL BE OVER. YES, YOU HAVE CHANGE THE FUTURE. YOUR ABSENCE FROM PLANET EARTH, HAVE LEFT A COMPLETE VACUUM THAT CANNOT BE COVERED. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT WILL SING SONG WITH POLITICAL LYRICS EXPRESSING THE DESTITUTE OF THE PEOPLE AS A RESULT OF BAD GOVERNANCE. NO, THE FUTURE IS EMPTY WITHOUT YOU; BUT REST IN PEACE. GOD HAS HIS REASON FOR THIS.
AM EVANS ADINKRA FRIMPOG FROM GHANA ,AM IN AUSTRIA: LUCKY MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE GOD BLESSD OU FOR THE THINGS YOU HAVE DONE . WE LOVE YOU . SLEEP WELL

dube, rest in the bosome of the almighty jah.those who killed u will never no peace in their life time, both in this planet earth and any where in this world. Once again rest in peace, you will always be remembered.
this is a very powerful photo. This man I just discovered and have ordered four of his CDs to give to my son for inspiration when one day I will not be around. My heart goes out to his children and his entire family, but more imporant, the people of South Africa, whose struggles are not far from my mind here in America. God Bless Him and Forgive those who took his life, for they know not what they have done. Be Inspired, Be Blessed Everyone.
I quote the peoples poet Mzwakhe Mbuli when he said, "those who killed Lucky they must just burn eternally in hel, whats the use of having one of the recognised constitution in the world which does not protect its citizens". this is all i can say, iam speechless.
Hey brother lucky I hope you are all at perfect peace.I just wanted to say that you really left a legacy and I for one as Bongani Matlala have been blessed by your music, acually healed through your music.I remember one day it was in 01/12/1987 according to my I was very sick to losing my life and the was song on the radio of an audacious young star then I then began to follow the lirics and they were AYOBA yo and my she said I repeated that song and I was eventually healed.I thank God for giving you a talent.
This is what was left in my heart a picture of a man who sang about real life.I really liked it when i saw Lucky Dube singing his songs live on stage, thank to you all the slaves and to Gallo records to held a man i can say is a roll model to me and many african young and old.
oh what a legend
I think of horses as being very powerful creatures...they show great strength and Mr. Dube showed us all what it is to be strong in this struggle of a life we have here on this earth. In rests now -- until we meet in heaven, God bless his family for this great, great, loss.
THIS PITURE IS VERY NICE,I LOVED
i still cant believe this is true.everyday i play his cds hoping and praying however the Almighty knows best.Lucky Dube you are an inspiration to me it seems as though someone put a piece of me that i would never be able to own again.i love you luck until we meet again
yes, we may not be wit him now, but to some of us he is wit us, and will never fade away, cos eachday, each moment, he stays wi us and sings to our heart and mind, even our soul can't deny the sound of this Hero, Lucky Dube...
Respect from Nantes, France. Just love Lucky's music, it's beautiful ! Peace. JCB
King of kings as you bless your people bless the family and the innocent angels that watched desperately as the father's life aws taken away.Let them know that you'll bless them as you had blessed their father. For Lucky Dube personally I'll miss not only yhim but his positive change to the society.Rest in peace Legend .

ainda nĂ£o foi dessa vez que um ato de violencia vai calar. a voz de um homem como voĂ§Ăª. pĂ³s a sua musica, sua poesia, (ecoera para sempre na eternidade) fique na paz de deus...
I WILL REMEMBER YOU FOREVER LUCKY DUBE. MAY YOU SOUL REST IN PEACE- YOUR MUSIC IS INSPIRATION TO MY LIFE. PEOPLE OF SOUTH AFRICA YOU HAVE KILLED THE MUSIC INDUSTRY FOR THE WHOLE WORLD
DEATH LEAVE A HEARTACHE NO ONE CAN HEAL, DEATH LEAVE A MEMORY NO ONE CAN STEAL. am a jamaican & one as a child i was watching JBC now TVJ they use to show music videos at a certain times & i remember seeing this man performing infront of this huge crowd of people he sung with so much passion that i became so mesmorised & actually thought he was singing to me personally i can't seem to remember the song & when i learn't that it was an african i became so interested cause i was saying thats strange because africans were poor, well thats how they were viewed and from then on i would see if they would show anymore videos but they never did well i don't remember but i vowed that somehow no matter what i will know who this man was & in 2000 i did through napster then i searched the music store & i bought 4 cds of his & from then on everyday of my life if i did not listen to him i felt like my day was incomplete. I vowed if he ever came to jamaica i must had to see him but i never got the chance and that is why i hurt so much. Even today i still cry whenever i hear his music so i hardly listens to him for a whole day like i use to but i know i will cease my crying one day.'' Iv'e got you babes to make me feel alright''.Lucky you are not here to hear this but your fans have become ''Victims'' of the situation knowing that the "Man in the Mirror'' was taken from the ''Crazy World'' by the man in the long black coat.''Billy oh Billy man with the words of wisdom it's now Lucky oh Lucky man with the words of wisdom, GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.
May you still be the good musician in Africa
May you still be the good musician in Africa
Shalom! ( Peace) Everlasating to My Brother Lucky Dube and his family-immediate and the South African Nation. I was disturbed in my spirit and traumatized in my soul at the violent and untimely manner in whicn this messianic spirit was brutally taken from us. His spirit like Bob Marley knew no boundaries---I was born in Trinidad, Live in London and met Lucky when I lived in Briston in the late 1990's. His concert was spectacular and culturally affirming and well as consolidating from the point of the struggle and a unique genre of Reggae sound-a combination of Zulu culture and Rastafari culture he so passionately embrassed. I met him back stage and was left with an indelible impression of a great humility and creativity. His loss is not total as he has left us the African Diaspora a musical legacy to last for eternity and his spiritual stamp on humanity. I am holding an event of the celabration of his life at the Spirited Palace 105 church Road, Crystal Palace. LONDON SE19 On Saturday 8th December, 2007. From 8 00pm till late. yishibah@yahoo.co.uk Mob: 07960 143 627 Lucky lives forever MS Yishibah BAHT -GAVRIEL

It´s with grate Honour that i let drop my tears and stretch my hands and offer my shoulders to console Lucky Dube´s family. Bob Marley and Lucky once asked throught the words of their song...HOW LONG SHALL THEY KILL OUR PROFETS WHILE WE STAND ASSIDE AND LOOK?...... Did they really Know that evenctually theey would be victims of this situation? We Angolans show a lot of respect to Brothers who help us fight for our rights. Lucky, i´ve always used your lyrics as my guide in every move i make....you have been sent to heaven but your words will always be used as weapons for the protection of our Brothers. We pray that you continue to guide us trought the spikey ways of this crazy world we live in..... REST IN PEACE SIR!!!!! JAH BLESS....
A true musician matches talent with real-life issues. RIP Dube

Just listening to Remember Me on Serious Reggae Business and feeling sad. What an amazing guy. Such a huge legend and such a waste of such a brilliant life who had plenty more to say. We will always remember you.
We did not get to meet you in the flesh but we are convinced that your spirit met ours through your powerful, positive and conscious music. We will always regret that we did not make the trip to Randalls Island in New York on Aug 25th/07. We will always remember you and your memory alive by allowing our son to appreciate the messages in your songs. God/Shembe knows what he wanted you to do in your lifetime on earth and he saw it fit to take you at such a time, we just don't know the reason yet. We pray that your children/family and africa on a whole will reap the benefits you so selflessly worked for.May your spirit surrounds us always. PEACE, RESPECT AND LOVE ALWAYS
