Jeff was one of the finest guitarists ever. I was looking forward to seeing him in Manchester during his UK tour; I still can't believe he's gone. Mike Rigby

The first time I saw Jeff and the boys was on the Tonight Show back in 87. When Johnny was introducing him as a blind guitarist, I was expecting somebody like Jose Felliciano. He ripped into "See the Light" and I was sooo blown away. I just fell in love with him, his style, his passion, and his sound. He was truley amazing and inspired me to keep on playing when I was about to give up. Jeff Healy will allways be the greatest in my heart.

Yeah, Mr. Healey was a great bluesman - his chops were KICKIN'! When I first saw him play I was astonished at his flamboyant ability and his showmanship just inspired us all. This is sad news... rest in peace sir.

I have always enjoyed the music of Jeff Healey from the first time I heard it. I was amazed at how the music seemed to come from his soul. You were so into his music that you never noticed that he was blind. He will be greatly missed and impossible to replace.

After seeing him in "Roadhouse", I was mesmerized by his talent. Not as a blind performer, but as a true artist. Started collecting his CDs and enjoying him more and more. I feel for those who did not know him and his talents. Forever in our hearts and spirit.

I saw Jeff With JHB 4 times during his tours of England. Once accompanied by Phil Sayce on guitar, that show rocked! I was so hoping Jeff would come to England again with his own Blues Band after the fall out with Rockman & Stevens. I would love to have watched him one more time. But I'm just glad I got to see him at all! A great man. R.I.P Jeff, Thank you.

I had the opportunity to see Jeff perform in a small club in Pittsburgh, PA on the See The Light Tour and was blown away. Many years later I was in Toronto and went to see Jeff and the Jazz Wizzards at an HMV store. I mentioned to the drummer that I was a musician from the states and a huge fan. I then asked if it would possible to meet Jeff. Jef was gracious enough to meet with me one on one upstairs in the store and to autograph the CD that I purchased that day. The world has lost an incredible talent and most importantly a very humble, and nice person.

I met Jeff at a backstage meet and greet many years ago, and he was as sweet to talk to as he was to listen to. It is a loss to music and the world that is immeasurable. Jeff was a record collector, like me, and his love for his "hobby" (as people often call it) made his love for his craft even more genuine. A lovely guy, and a sincere and gifted player. The world is less colorful without him, but I am grateful he was here. Rest in peace, Jeff. You're free.

The first time I ever saw Jeff play was at a small basement club (The Boderline) in Charing Cross road, London. He was sat on an old chair at one side of the very low stage, I was no more than 6-8ft away from him, and was completely and utterly blown away by the genius sat before me.There were some very famous guitarists also in attendance, who just stood back in amazement, I heard one very famous international star say he may as well just give up. That is the effect Jeff had on people, that's my memory, which has so much feeling attached to it I will never forget him. Rest in Peace mate, you're one of the few who we measure by what you achieved not by how long you've been on this earth.

First time I ever heard Jeff play it was on a BBC lunchtime show called Pebble Mill at One; he'd just appeared in the Roadhouse movie and he played two songs with that distinctive overhand style; one was Roadhouse Blues and Stuck In the Middle With You. A great, great talent that will be sorely missed

Since first hearing Jeff play See The Light, I was taken by the dynamic playing & passionate singing. When I discovered he was blind along with his unique style of playing, it was amazing & inspiring. A real shame to lose such a talent so young as we have many before him. I was saddened to hear of his passing as we've lost another great one. My thoughts & prayers go out to the family, friends & associates of this unique talent.

I went to college in Upstate New York in the late 80's have been a big fan of Jeff Healey and his work over the years. I remeber buying his first record in Plattsburg. Live in Texas now and just moved back to Dallas from Austin...walking in the footsteps of Robert Johnson and Stevie Ray. Like Jeff, I am a big fan of old Jazz and have recently been discovering the New Orleans Blues and Jazz scene on many buisness trips. Next time I am down in the Big Easy we'll have to toast Jeff down in "The Quarter" and have a Jazz Funeral to celebrate his life and contribution to the world and music. Walk passed copy of Live At Montreaux DVD today and just had to get it. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff's wife and children for their loss.
