Tommy on as sub to win the league at Tannadice 1981. With a twist and a turn and a wicked left foot screamer the Title was ours. God Bless You Tommy. Your great pal Johnny Doyle would have been waiting for you with open arms. Three in a row is for you and yours from ALL Celtic fans. You were just a fan like the rest of us. Goodnight God Bless you.

It was with much sadness that i heard on the radio Tommy had passed away. Having lost my own Mum recently I can only hope that his family are coping well and remember the man he was and all the wee things that will make this horrible time bearable. He brought a lot of smiles and happiness in his lifetime through his skills and faithfulness to Celtic, R.I.P Tommy, one in a million.

The word legend is often used to describe footballing heros, too often at times. Tommy was however a true legend and hero who will be missed and remembered for eternity. A true east end boy who 'done good' . family faith and football sums the man up a real and deserved LEGEND. Keep smiling Tommy, Rab Harkins
