Dad always asking me to phone him when I arrived home so he knew we had arrived safely. It was funny arriving home from overseas on May 7th and realising I couldn't phone and say, "Hi Dad, we're home", and hearing his response "You're a good did for ringing me Margie".

Dad ringing EVERY night to see if I had the cryptic crossword finished. He would always say "I've got every word!" but if I asked him for a certain word surprisingly he'd have all the answers but that one!!
