Savina as a friend and a Chef I will never for get the "Girl's" (Including Tom & John) nights that we used to have with Savina at her house. Savi would invite us over for dinner, wine and then bring out the Trivia Pursuit to play for the rest of the evening. It always seemed so easy for Savina to "whip up" in no time a big Pasta dish for all to eat and it was always perfect, I could never figure out how she could do it so quickly and still have it tasting so good. It seems simple however these were the most enjoyable nights and we could never wait for the next one, especially the food. The Last one of these nights was when I made Savina come to our house and cook dinner for a poker night, of course she had to cook as we couldn't do any better. However this time, she said she was going to teach how to make a pasta dish, just like she does. On the night of the poker night, I anxiously awaited this secret recipe that would make me as good a chef as her. That night, I learnt that the "Special Savina Pasta" really wasn't that hard at all. Savina told me that Pesto and a Half a tub of cream, fixes all pastas, no matter what you are serving up. Here is was thinking for years that there was some famous niche ingredient that I never knew of and it was simply Cream and Pesto. Savina always used to find a simple easy way of approaching all aspects of life which is something I really admire. It amazed me to see that this simplicity also was implemented in her cooking however still very very affective. Now I can cook like she did!
