When I was 16 and Bob was 25 there could be no better man to know he was to me a mentor long before that word became fashionable. He took interest in a young man who was just starting to find his way in the world and who had just started work. He was a steady hand who always had a word of encouragement. Bob was married to my cousin June a wonderful lady. I was indeed a very lucky young man to have two people whom I could trust and love. Bob I am now 65 we met for the last time at my mother's funeral, I gave your thin frame a hug and said mate you are still my mentor, he laughed and said I didn't do a bad job of it. Bob you were right you did a bloody great. vince

My memory of Bob: truly one of nature's gentleman, loving husband to June, proud Dad to Carolyn and Mark and devoted grandfather.
I feel very privileged to have met both Bob (and June) some years ago - what a wonderful, devoted and loving couple. Now together again.
