Ray Smartt was the Deputy Director at NSO/SP in Sunspot, NM and I had the pleasure of working with him for many years. Ray was a kind and gentle person and he spoke of his family often during the years that I worked with him. Joe and I would like to extend our sincere sympathy to his family.
