I have known Peter since I was born, a very dear friend to my parents, I grew up knowing Peter as a beautiful, fun-loving and intelligent man. I have fond childhood memories of Peter. One in particular that stands out is on an occasion when my parents had taken my brother and I to Darley Street Thai. I was a little girl, and Peter took me up to the big Buddha statue and showed me how to stick gold leaf on it, I was fascinated with the beautiful gold. Since my father's death five years ago, and my mother moving back to new zealand, I don't get to see so much of their old friends, but everytime I managed to catch up with Peter he would always make the time to sit down with me and have a good chat, to find out exactly what was going on in my life and if he could help me with anything. On my 20th birthday, he treated my mother, brother and I to a spectacular dinner at Sailor's Thai, and as always he made me feel very special. He was such a beautiful person who I know will be sadly missed by many. I am so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing and very regretful that I did not get a chance to say goodbye. Peter, thank you for all the fond memories and for being a wonderful friend to my parents, and me. Like my mother, I take comfort in knowing my father has a friend with him in heaven.
Love always,
Francesca Gissi
