My Grandma was always there when we were growing up. She was always kind. I remember staying at her house and having fun going on her special shopping trips, eating biscutts from her cookie jar, having baked dinners on a Saturday afternoon, getting her special warm hugs and having a cuppa on a cold winters day. She loved keeping update to date on the news, she always read the newpaper and listened to the wireless, never the radio. Her house was always spotless and anything out of place was always referred to as rubbish or mess. She knitted beautiful jumpers and always liked watching TV in bed. Her favorite meal was meat and three veg followed by a big bowl of vanilla icecream. When I was much younger, she had a budgie and a cat called Tim. I loved her pets, she loved them too. I will never forget her always telling me that 'if I put my mind to it I can accomplish anything', 'first impressions always last', and 'there but grace of god, go you or I'. She always had great sayings. The best time was Christmas, when we were younger she'd always get us kids great gifts, she always managed to unite our family in a warm and loving way for Christmas dinner and special family time, a tradition i'm sure will be carried on in her memory. I love my grandma very much and have missed not being as close to her over the last few years but she is always in my heart and in memory forever. I love you grandma, have a great sleep and say a big hello and give grandad a big kiss from me. Love you always Your grand-daughter Kathleen
