My husband, Jason, and I had the honor of working at the Gallon Jug Community School two years ago. Mike and Jill became our family...I don't know what do say to make anyone, especially myself, feel better. I just know that we loved Mike and Jill an incredible amount....that the world is a better place for them having been here....I'll be listening to The Dead and Phish for many months to come, trying to come to terms with this tremendous loss. They were two of the kindest, most honest and decent individuals I have ever met. I love you Mike and Jill...

Jill was our babysitter the summer before she and Mike were married. Each day we got wedding planning updates, which was fun; however the real joy was seeing how happy Jill was and how devoted she and Mike were to one another. Seeing her become a mother was a gift to both me and my children. She would always say that Makayla was a good baby, but of course she was, she had such loving, devoted, wonderful parents! My heart is heavy, understanding this is impossible. I pray that they know how deeply they were loved and how their kind and gentle manner were such an enormous presence in the lives of so many.
