I am Margaret's cousin 1x removed. Each year as I was growing up we would gather together at her parents home in Sydney and celebrate Christmas together as a family. Lots of love and laughter is my fondest memory.
I had lost touch with Margaret after her parents passed. I've been working on our family tree when I came across this. I am so saddened.

I only met Margaret once, many years ago. I went to an Inservice at Kew on Babies. I was mesmerised by the knowledge and passion Margaret had and was inspired by her. I still use the notes given to me to this day. Today I showed them to a student I have (I am an Educator in a Babies room in long day care.) so googled her today. I am so grateful having her touch my life and will continue to past on to others what she taught me. Thank you Margaret.
Always Kerrie

Margaret Clyde was and continues to be a great inspiration to me. As a strong advocate of men in early childhood in the 1980s Margaret gave me confidence that I belonged in the profession, and that I should support other men in their work. Margaret's dry sense of humour was also well appreciated. Sadly missed!
