Despite having only known Krysti for a relatively short time, we want to share our sadness upon learning of her passing. She fought the illness with such bravery and positivity, and touched us all with her ability to smile despite all that was facing her. Our thoughts and love go out to beautiful Polly, and the rest of her family. Life can be so unfair. From Mark, Gemma, Elliott, Rhett, Lydon and all the staff at Pompello Fruit Shop in Seddon.

We met in the heady days of Education Action at Melbourne University, and Krysti was an inspiration to every young woman from that time. We shared a lot of laughs, tears and battles with the conservative forces. We always knew Krysti would pursue her sense of justice and end up working for good, as she did for so long in Broome and for the KLC. Her joy at having Polly was so evident, in her pride and awe in the beautiful child she had produced. The unfairness of the illness and the lack of justice for someone who fought for it for so long is extreme. My heart goes out to Polly, and Krysti's parents and sisters. Much love to you Krysti - my friend, always. Sophie
