I treasure the time in the 1950ies I did Mrs. Pate as I knew her,[no one called people/clients by their first names then! ] As an apprentice hairdresser .I was invited to an exhibition of her works somewhere in the city and was absolutely entranced , especially with her art of her cat Simon.....probably influenced me to take up art myself later on in life. Klytie was the most wonderful client, always so generous and cheerful In fact Klytie is about the only person I remember the exact a hair colouring I used on her.I was fortunate to have been in touch with her via information from the colectors show ABC T.V.
