Its almost been 2 months since your passing and its still hard to believe your gone!....
You were the most loving and caring aunty my sister Kiera and I, cousins Sam and Hamish could ask for! the happiest and brightest sister to my mum Heidi and aunty Clem and uncle Matt, and sister inlaw to my father Bruce and aunty Meg, a very devoted daughter to my grand parents, and the proud partner of Brenda.
You were a great achiever and it was only at your funeral where i learnt alot about what your life involved, i always knew you were loving and caring but some of the stories that were shared from your friends and work colleagues amazed me!
I keep getting myself down because i never came to see you when i felt you needed us all there, it was all in fear that i didnt want it to end this way and now it has i regret my decisions.
I never wanted to say good bye because i thought you could beat this and it hurts me that i have to say good bye this way!..
You will always be remembered Kerry, all the times we have spent togther as family from day one. The Christmas's and Easter lunches where you would dress up as Santa or the Easter bunny and paint out faces and sit us on your lap while handing us our presnts and easter eggs, all the way up until your 50th birthday which was regrettably the last time i really saw you.
You will never be forgotten, both your spirit and the impact you left in our lives and the people you touched will be forever greatful and always cherished!
Love always your nephew Peter
You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
