I worked with John in the late 1970s and 80s in the Water Resources Commission. He was my first boss in the Survey/Property section of that organisation. We had many great times together, sharing common interests - particularly our MGs! He was a man that was fun to be around, always seeing the positive side of life and enjoying it to the max!
