Hello Phillip My Dad was in Bomber Command, also with Squadron 576. We came to know Dr. Musgrove through Martin Nichols, webmaster for the RAF Squadron website. I have been thinking about your Dad this Spring, knowing he was battling leukemia. I searched for mention of him on the internet just now, and found the tribute website you established. And so I discovered that Dr. Musgrove passed in February. Please accept our sincerest condolences. In the short time that we were e-mail friends, I knew him to be a wonderful and gallant gentleman. What a grand generation he and his comrades all were. You did a very fine job in creating a wonderful eulogy to honour him and celebrate his very full life. I especially loved seeing the photos of a wonderful family and the many friends who enriched his days. I hope you will find this note on your Dad’s e-mail address. Thinking of all of you. ML Mary Lynne Knill Daughter of William Carland Johnston

Dr Musgrove was our Doctor for 35 years and I know he will never be replaced. He always made so much time for our medical problems, and his wonderful humor and compassion will stay with us forever .Rest in peace John Pete & DI

I only met him on one or two occasions but he struck me as a man of exemplary principles and a sharp intellect. His love of sailing and especially of traditional values were an example to us all. All life is transient as is love, to experience both is a blessing. The cycle of life and death is to be embraced and celebrated even though it has its measure of pain, as this is the way of our being in this universe. I am sure that his emotions actions and personality will live long in the memory of all his family and friends. My thoughts go with all who knew and loved him. Barry Watson

So sorry for your loss. I was a patient of Dr Musgrove many years ago, he was so kind, gentle and compassionate. He will be dearly remembered. Rest in Peace. My thoughts are with his family. Kirsty (Maroubra)
