Fred was my brother's contemporary at Bishop Cottons Boy's School Bangalore when I became a boarder in 1947. Met up with him again in 1976 in Sydney and continued the acqaintanceship till his untimely passing - just the week before, he'd been discussing my retirement plans for June, at lunch at my place ! He was like an elder brother to me, so my wife Laura and I shall miss him very much. Our hearts are with his family and particularly his children and grandchildren.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of Sqn Ldr (then) Freddie Josephs through Henry

I will miss Fred, especially at the get-togethers which Julie and he never missed. I had the good fortune of meeting Fred first in 1948 or 49 at the St. Mark's Parish weekly dances in Bangalore. Fred would come along with his parents, he was probably 18 at the time - while I was studying at The Indian Institute of Science, Malleswaram and cycle to the Parish Hall for the dances. We both joined the Indian Air Force and our contacts continued at various Air Force stations while on Temporary Duty. It was a bonus to meet again in Sydney these last ten years or so. Regards to Julie and the rest of the family.
