I had the priviledge of being Mr. C's (his nickname from me) - Secretary in his rooms when he was the Director of the Open Heart Surgical Unit at St. Vincent's Hospital. I first waws with him in early 70's in his rooms in Collins Street, and then we moved to East Melbourne. He was a fantastic "boss", extremely kind and understanding to all he knew and worked with. I am now 59 years old, but i always remember those years with Mr. C. as the most rewarding in my working life. I was extremely proud to say i worked for Mr Clarebrough.

My family are forever grateful to Dr.John Clarebrough who operated on my son when he was 14 Steve had a potentially life threatening tumor. He is now 53 years old and enjoys good health thank's to a skilful and compassionate man. MHDSRIP
