My memories of John are of a kind and loving, gentle person, He was talented and generous with his music. He loved Jan and their children unconditionally and had a wonderful style and grace about him. I remember seeing the video of the reception of Jan & John's special wedding day. I will always remember him that way, singing and happy, surrounded by those around him he loved.
Our memory of John is infinite. The loss we feel is very strong, as was his personality. The four of us had a unique friendship, not as long as most, but very close. Jan was the ultimate carer for her John and he wanted for nothing (other than no pain) Very much loved and very much missed. Our love and wishes of 'long life' are to you, Jan, Meaghan, Chris, Dan, Cara, and Danielle and their families

My partner Cherie and I had the great fortune of singing with John on guitar. We shared John's great passion of music in particular the golden classics of the 1930's. e.g. "My Funny Valentine'. He was a fine example of a man who lives his dream. Our thoughts are with Jan and John's family at this very sad time. Mark and Cherie Payne. (Daylesford Victoria)
