My memory of Elaine was when I was about 5 years old and I first started dancing at Edna Storeys studio and Elaine was one of the big girls I always thought how beautiful she was and such a great dancer, my dad sprayed some material for her tap stormy weather in those days to get what you wanted in material was impossible.Ten years ago I had a fifty year reunion and I was so happy to see her and after we sent each other cards at xmas and she would let me know what was going on with her family, i am so sorry that I have only just heard about her death and would have liked to gone to her funeral, I will alway remember her, my thought go ther her family at this time. Fondest regards Marie

Lynette Elliott I have very few memories I my past that do not include dancing. Yes Faye I remember the first live TV shows that we did I still have the Certificates. I recall one TV show on he ABC whenwe practiced and then got banned when we went to go live for showing too much body in revealing costumes ha ha only leotards. I started dancing classical jazz and tap with Miss Elaine and Miss Shirley in 1949 I was 5 yrs old ending 1961. I remember dancing for Uncle Tom's Cabin a radio show how funny now I come to think of it. I still remember us all dancing for Hop-a-long Cassidy the American cowboy who kissed me and I never forgot it. So many many memories to long to speak of here. Her dancing will live forever I am sure carried on by all the family. I bet the Angels will be lining up very soon for tap lessons, Jim and Elaine will be together again at peace. Thank you for the happy years, they live on in all our hearts forever. My prayers and thoughts are will you all in this time of great sorrow God Bless

I started dancing with Miss Elaine in 1951 as a 10 year old girl at Drummoyne, Roselle and Balmain. In 1956 when TV first started, Miss Elaine had the senior girls, including me, as the dancers of the first Saturday night variety show on channel 7 called Astor Showcase. We would leave Drummoyne after Sat morning classes and drive with Miss Elaine to the Channel 7 studios at Epping and rehearse throughout the afternoon and do a direct telecast that night. She was a very fine teacher of classical tap and jazz and I hold her dear for all the things she taught me and the good times we had together. Love Faye x
