Its so sad to know you're gone. I did a three day fast hoping your life will be spared but i guess your loving smile and warm heart already spared you a space in heaven. It hurts to know you're gone but i do hope that your kids get the best out of life and they are well taken care of by people who love you. The first time I heard of Jade Goody was from Big Brother. I am from Southern California and new to London at the time, so I didn't know to much about her. Suffice to say I had only been informed how truly unique in that she of all the Big Brother contestants, was the only one to have gone on to make it big in her fame-- and she wasn't the winner to boot! To outshine all the Big Brother winners, and glamour models at the same time is no small task. As I began to watch her on TV, I realized I didn't like her, and joined the divided opinion given her snarky and eye popping tirades, to be blunt she annoyed me. She did what she was supposed to do, and only in her death do I realize she was the one I loved to "hate", if you will. When reflecting back on her fame whether liked or disliked, she did exactly what she was supposed to do, illicit thought for the masses: the good bad and everything in between about ourselves. My most boneheaded memory was around 2004 when the network was showing the purported TOP Big Brother Moments on TV Countdown. The main teaser was Jade drunk on the air crying in one of her many known tantrums and asking "AM I MINGIE?" Every time I saw that teaser I would crack up by choking on my food or choking on my drink, if consuming. I watched that whole damn TOP Big Brother Moments on TV just to see "AM I MINGIE" and I waited and waited, finally convinced I had been dooped when down to the top 3. No. 3 was jade crying about some veruka on her foot, then No. 1 moment came on and there she was in all her glory crying out again: "AM I MINGIE?" I didn't know who to be mad at: the network or jade for losing 2 hours of my life to see the teaser that was ultimately the No.1 moment in Big Brother's then history, or Jade just for being Jade. She will always have a place in our thoughts and hearts for just being Jade. My ever lasting best.

My wife and I met Jade about 5 years ago in the UK. We hold dear to our hearts the chance meeting that we had, as we are from the states, and she from a far off land. We spent about a half hour talking about her life, career and about London. We will always remember her bright smile and wonderful laugh. She was truly an amazing woman. I send all my concerns to jade's family. im glad she tried to raise the age of smear tests and hopefully it will come aware to the government that they should give smear tests to young women. i know she is a good mum and loves her children to bits. But now we give our simpathy to her family. my mum thought that she had cancer but she hasnt i dont know what i would of done if i had of lost her. Shes my rock and my star. XxX
