Only heard yesterday of Jack's sudden and tragic passing earlier this year. It is still difficult to believe, as I thought he would go on forever. A visit to Jack was much more a a treatment session for the latest ailment; it was a chance to catch up with a generous, warm-hearted man who truly loved life and enjoyeyed sharing opinions and laughter on any subject under the sun. That he was the greatest Physiotherapist to ever walk the earth is almost incidental. There will never be another like him. Condolences to his family.

It was with great sadness that I heard only yesterday of the tragic passing of the guru of physios. I've been going to see Jack for many years with a number of different injuries during my triathlon and running days. He always got me back on the track and loved giving me many new stretches to speed the recovery. In recent years I took my son to see Jack. My visits were also great social chats talking about marathons, his training, footy and whatever else . I'll miss his smiling face, magic hands and calm nature. Rest in Peace Jack

Jack Salter was a truly unique man who changed the person that I am today. There are too few people that come into your life and create a positive influence but Jack did just that for me and, I am sure, for so many others. After 15 or more years as my physio our relationship was a unique friendship as we openly shared our views on life in confidence and with a smile. He once said to me that if he ever had to go to war he would want me in the trenches by his side - this is possibly the finest thing that anyone has ever said to me. I am devestated by losing Jack but, in his passing, I am grateful for the influence he has had in my life and I will truly miss him.
