i remember he always laughing and having some new crazy story to tell. i cant count how many times all i could say was "god holley". she loved life and was full of more spunk than i would know what to do with. she was always supporting me in hard times and telling me everything would work out. shed would constantly sending me funny pics of her she would take when she got bored and i remember one she sent in her dress she wore to the ball bc she was so excited about how good her chest looked and how skinny she looked in the dress. i still forget shes gone sometimes and catch myself myself going to call her to tell her a funny story. WE WILL ALWAYS MISS AND LOVE YOU HOLLEY KEEP SMILING ABOVE US! she might not be here to talk to us but i still talk to her and know she can be with all of us looking over us and looking out for each of us at the same time and i know that that makes her happy! its probably a dream of hers to be with all her friends at one time and doesnt have to clean up all the mess after! lol

Holley will alway be a part of us all! I feel so blessed to of gotten to meet her and to be friends with her! Holley we will always love and rember you!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to nursing school with Holley & was a close to her at one time. I really didn't speak much during the past two years. But I remember meeting the first day of nursing school. She was very friendly & outgoing. We became friends instantly. She studied & hung out a lot for the first two years. She was a very hardworking & determined woman. She often talked about travel nursing & joining the military. She was with her son's father at the time & taking care of her son while going to school. She had a great personality & a sense of humor. She will be missed dearly. May she rest in peace & receive the justice she deserves!

Holley's family is wonderful and I am honored to know them. Holley was a beautiful young woman and did so much in her short life. Her children and family will carry on her legacy proud.

My deepest sympathy to Lt. Wimuncs' family. I also work at Womack and remember seein Holley in the hospital. She was always smiling when I saw her. Too young to die a life not fully lived. My heart goes out to those who truly knew her. May God keep you in his arms and comfort you, never forget that through you her memory lives on.

Although I did not know her, I was raised in the military and appreciate everything that she had done for us and (seeing that she was a nurse) our soldiers. I am said to hear that her children and family have to endure such a horrible period, especially her kids so early in life. It is a horrific tragedy. May you rest in peace.

Holley was my friend's nurse when she had her baby just 6 days before she was taken. Holley was one of those people that left a mark in your heart with her kind words and beautiful smile. From the first day she walked in the room she had a smile on her face and was cracking jokes and that was the last thing we saw her do the day she walked out of our room, if only we had known that just a few days after this she would be killed. We said we would go back to Womack to visit her and show her the baby she took care of and stopped her from crying just with her touch but now because John and another guy decided to play God we will never get that chance. Me & my family's thoughts and prayers will be with her family throughout all of this and beyond.

My thoughts and condolences go out to the family of Lt. Holley Wimunc. I am outraged that yet another service woman's life can be taken by a military service man. I am organizing the Candlelight Vigil in honor of Holley next week in Sneads Ferry where she was found. I am arranging for a few Pastors to be present, and hopefully other speakers. I had worked with Holley while I was doing clinicals at Womack. She was very upbeat and energetic. Everytime I saw her she was smiling. She was a great nurse. I will always remember her and everything she taught me while I was working under her. You are in our thoughts Holley. My deepest sympathy to the frineds and family of Holley.

The first day I heard the news my jaw dropped. This was not the first murder of a woman soldier in North Carolina. How could this continue? Rest in peace Holley and may the two men who did this to you get what they deserve.
