Heath Ledger has become one of the best method actors in the business. For Brokeback Mountain he researched the role extensively, for the upcoming Dark Knight he actually shut himself in his apartment for a month to get 'into the Jokers head'. There was so much potential for him to be one of the great, all time actors and I'm deeply sorry to hear that such a potential has come to an end. Respect to his family, my thoughts are with them. Rest in peace Heath, you had so much more to give x x x

With Brokeback Mountain, Heath made an empathetic movie that no one can hope to make again. With I'm Not There, he stole the hearts of boomers with his understanding. In all of his artistic achievements, his generation had a true hero. His statements are indelible. His expressions of love and commitment undeniable. He brought joy and purpose to the world.
