I can remember as a kid in the 70's always listening to George's albums for hours! I had all of them and never got tired of them. Then eventually the HBO specials started and it was great to finally see him perform. He was always evolving and fine tuning his act and that was part of his genius. His performances were so absorbing and mesmerizing, that you almost did not want the show to end. Seeing George live was always satisfying no matter what the venue. His books were funny as well. I was at the Orleans in Las Vegas recently when he performed there and was near Santa Monica the day before he died and could not believe the coincidence! George will be missed by all those who understood his brand of edgy wit and by all who can appreciate a man who was not afraid to tell the truth and be brutally honest. I cried. Farewell George and thank you for all the wonderful years of laughter and insight you bestowed upon all of us. Your genius will live on forever!!!!!!!!
