I remember those good old days when you didnt have to worry about bills, just woke up late, got dressed in your fattest Izod or Letigre shirt; Lee jeans and Adidas sneakers with the fat laces--went out to the streets to see what was happening, just walking with your friends past 98th street and Amsterdam and spotting The Rock Steady Crew doing their thing! IT WAS PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one besides the people my age (43 now) can even imagine what it was like back in the 80's on the Upper West Side seeing that magic those peeps would bring to my heart. I want to say that I wish for Frosty Freeze to rest in peace, you are missed and now you are a shining star up above. God Bless!!!!!

Damn... It is sad to see a pioneer pass, I just found out and its almost a month later. Wild Style was and is my favorite movie and the scene where he is demonstrating a certain freeze in the park, sticks out in my mind. One of my favorite B-Boys, Rest In Peace my brother..

I was in school at PS 52 in Manhattan and the Master Disaster crew ran the school my crew.We would fly our colors and 1 day crazy legs and his people rocked their colors and we challenged them to a battle. We were about knives and guns so we came prepared to battle,When they showed up they came with a radio and ready to dance thats where I met FROSTY the coolest dude ever because what he did wasn't an act but who he was genuine and from the heart, a pure BUG OUT. I lost touch for a while 15 years but a couple of years ago they had a hip hop summit in Harlem and guess who I ran into and he was still the same dude. We caught up on some shit and I introduced him to my son Chris.2 weeks later I ran into CL in Chinatown told him I saw freeze in Harlem and got no reaction. Oh yeah freeze told me he hadn't spoken to him for about 5 years.
POE

In the 80s i was break dancing with freeze. He was good but i was better. I hurt my hip on a over the top b bomb drop. He took over and everttime i saw him, from my wheelchair, i would just be in awe and say " yeah baby go for it." In later life frosty and I hung out at the Manhole bar. A Popular place for men who acted like men, manly men, men with masculine manly traits. Nothing but men here! Yes sir! Yep Frosty ruled! Or maybe im thinking of someone else?

Man.. it was great to see him in action at school dances, block parties, building yards (All you needed was cardboard, a boom box / Ghetto Blaster... And let the battles begin... I have yet to be impressed with break dancers the way I was left at awe by watching Frosty and the members of the Rock Steady Crew back in the early 1980's... Wayne.... Rest In Peace...

My first memory off Frosty was in my mother's living room with half the neighborhood at my brother's sleep over. Peace my brother I'll always love you

Watching Frosty Freeze in Style Wars and Wild Style as a kid growing up in Amsterdam (Europe) is one of my richest memories. You were "just" a bunch of kids having fun in the Bronx and you lit up the world. Now Hip Hop is here to stay and you are one of the true innovators. Rock on. You were taken too young.

Although I never meet the man, his influence lives in me through his contributions to the Hip hop Culture. Your memory will live on forever.

This is TRACER... your sidekick, right hand man and best friend for many years 1981-2000 (now living in miami)...I only recently heard about your sickness and death and it has saddened me greatly...there are so many memories and things we had gone through togetther.. wish i coulda said goodbye in person...time to go to my storage and dig out our old pics.

My Memory will always be seeing frost in my hood telling me about when the next RSC anniversary will be. When I saw him he always brought me back to the days of seeing DJ's in the park and all the kids battling one another. I remember him giving my a whole box of tapes with all the fly Zulu beats that he had got from Bam and that inspired me to DJ . Wayne AKA Frosty Freeze I love you and will never forget your swagger and creative style Peace and Love and I'm Out

We witnessed you floating through the air becoming fully aerodynamic, defying gravity and then landing again with the utmost precision.
You stood near the source of sharing a positive attitude. Wow!
Thanks.

When I first saw Frosty Freeze, he was in 'The Freshest Kids' DVD. I went bananas when he did the 'Freeze Drop' move, froze, then broke into footwork. A trademark to be remembered. I grew up in New York. Born in the Bronx, left at 2yrs(A history sadly missed). Raised in Ossining (Home OF SING SING PRISON). Moved to Cali in '85(Regretful of that move). Before I left New York, The Rock Steady Crew Buzz Spread like wildfire. All I remember is hearing about 'Crazy Legs and Frosty Freeze' like everywhere you went. My personal tribute to Frosty Freeze can be seen on the 'Style Wars' DVD disc 2, click on Artists and watch his interview...Very Important.......R.I.P. FROSTY FREEZE!!! ONE LOVE!!

The Best B-Boy ever. RIP.
