What great child hood we all had thanks mainly to beautiful mums like Mrs van. All the kids were always welcome and treated with great respect even though she had a tribe of her own to cater for but she was no softie, if you mucked up she let you know about it, always knew where you stood, a real straight shooter.
They were great days spent at the Van Donkelaars and you Mrs. van made it all the more special, thanks for the memories

Living next door to the family in the 1960's and watching the family grow up.
Doris was a great mother to her large family and we would have buckled under
the mammoth task she undertook to care for you all.
