My memory of Chris goes back to the earliest Australian bridge tournaments, where Chris was always the calmest and most efficient of directors. Chris came up from Figtree to collect boards from me when I worked at The Bridge Shop (from around 1990), and I always enjoyed going out to dinner with Chris and others - for a slim guy, he REALLY enjoyed his food!
