I remember Carlos from the Telstra bushwalks we used to go on. He was a lovely man with a wonderful sense of humour (a bit cheeky!), and very devoted to his wife and children. He was very excited to be moving up to the north coast with his family and we were looking forward to catching up with he and Dorien on our next Forster holiday. It is very sad to know he is no longer with us. Marty F and I were going to the funeral, however, the anticipated bad weather made us abandon that idea. To Dorien, Brenton, Merrin and family I wish to extend our deepest sympathy. With love from Sue and Mark Ridge and family.

Carlos was my work colleague, but more than that, he was my friend. In the years, we spent together, he always approached work (and life) with energy and enthusiasm. He was always someone you could rely on, especially if you needed any help. My memories of Carlos are fond and I will always cherish them. May he rest in peace in the Lord. My sincere sympathy to Dorein, Brenton & Merrin. He will be sadly missed. Marty Facciol Friend & ex Telstra colleague

I first met Carlos when I started working with him at NITI in Telstra 1997. Carlos was an enthusiastic and helpful boss, who always had time to discuss a problem, be it work or personal. We both ended up working at optus together and his approach was exactly the same. Carlos will be missed by all his old colleagues at Telstra and Optus. My best wishes and sincere sympathy to Dorien and his family. Leigh Spence Ex Telstra and Optus colleague.
