In the days, the months and years ahead, take the time to spare a thought for those who have lost their lives, their homes, family members, friends and their livelihood as a result of the recent bush fires that are ravaging across our nation.
Now more than ever, take the time to appreciate who you have in your life, whether it be family, friends, neighbours, work collegues or merely acquaintances. Take the time to love and help others, no matter how small your contribution may be. Let's band together like true Aussie battlers to offer our support to those people who have mostly been affected by the torments of the tragedy of last weekend and the upcoming weeks. I invite all Australians to dig deep to offer their support and as it appears monetary amounts speak louder than words.
To those who have been directly affected by the loss of loved ones, remember they are only on the other side of the rainbow. Reach out to them and say your goodbyes, for they are listening and will never leave your side.
Kindest regards
Lorrae, Paul and Nylah Kovacs Albury NSW.

I tuck my children into bed , I place a kiss upon thier head,
I am sadded at the thought tonight , that all lives lost just seems not right.
My heart went out , as I heard the plight of all the fires that burn tonight.
More devistation is on the way they anounced again and again today.
When do they get a chance to breath, to sleep in peace and finally greeve.
It is as though I am standing there, the tears are flowing, just as though I am near.
I feel no pain but my emotions are strong, Thouse that have been so baddly wronged.
For the ones that lost thier lives in flight I wish them all peace and a long good night,
I know I may never know your names but my heart has been shattered at your loss all the same.
My message to all that have lost , and been hurt, to the fire fighters the helpers, the animals too.
My wishes are the one thing I can do for you.
For the distance is great, but contribution is true.
I hope you get something from it as it is as much I can do.

As I gave my four kids a kiss and cuddle and popped them in bed tonight I spared a thought for the many, many innocent victims of this fire tradegy that will never be able to do the same. I, like many, don't really know what to say...words are clearly not enough...but rest assured that all Australians with heavy hearts have all victims and their families in our thoughts now and always.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all those affected by these horrific fires.....
I am feeling numb to think that someone could deliberatly start these fires and put lives in danger . To do this to innocent ,husbnds wives, fathers, mothers and Children is just a crime.....so many people still missing......houses still in danger...... you will be caught, someone must know who you are.........your punishment will happen......
Take the time to say a prayer for those who are out there with the grim task of having to find these people in cars, houses or wherever they may have died ....they will never recover from the sites they are seeing.......
To the volunteers, the emergency service workers, CFA, DSE and just the everyday person who are doing there bit....your are HEROS........
i pray that there is an end in site soon....
Deb

WOW Everybody I spoke to today in Townsville showed disbelief in what has happen in Victoria. We all have had our own battles in the last few weeks with the flooding of our towns and highways but nothing that we have been through can even compare to what has happened in the south. We all think how lucky we are and our thoughts and prayers go to all those fellow Australains that have suffered in the bushfires. I am sure that many of us will dig into our pockets so we can feel that we have helped in some little way.
![User avatar](/assets/images/avatars/default-avatar-40x40.jpg)
To all those who have lost their lives and to the families they have left behind our hearts go out to you all. This is an awful act to have carried out, and the people responsible for these mass murders are to be brought to justice. Thinking of you,

Always know that Americans here are disgusted in these people who have started some of these fires, all of those innocent people who have died and who have gotten burned. We stand with you and will always help our friends down under.

I hang my head in shame that a human being could cause all this devastation and loss of life.
A tear falls down my cheek for all the mothers, sisters, brothers, fathers and children lost.
My heart is heavy.
Bless the volunteers the fire fighters and everyone affected by the senseless act of stupidity.

I remember the greener times. Where have they gone. I'm sure we all remember happier times everywhere. I'm sure they will come again. My thoughts and love go out to all who have died in the fire and their families and friends. May God bless you all and may he place his healing hands over you all and give you some peace.

We have had a number of wildfires here in California, including the ones this last year, and there are few things in this world that are as terrifying. I lost all my possessions in a fire, and it's nothing compared to the loss of life suffered by the people of Victoria. My thoughts, prayers and best wishes go to all of those who have been victims of this horrendous tragedy, and my deepest admiration to the firefighters, policemen, volunteers and medical workers who perform acts every day ranging from heroism to simple kindness.
![User avatar](/assets/images/avatars/default-avatar-40x40.jpg)
Seeing the horrific fires first hand as we travelled north from Melbourne on Saturday, left us horrified, almost unbelieving and numbed at the death and destruction the residents of theses areas were faced with, for the families of those who have died in the fires, I offer my love, condolences and prayers, may they rest peacefully, and may you who loved them be comforted by the Lord God. We passed through Kilmore when the fire was so close, we could have easily been caught up in it, thankfully we weren't, I wish I could bring them all back, but that isn't possible. I can only feel for you and with you, be comforted that there are many many people praying for you and looking for ways to help you. God bless each and every one. Eilleen

We have all enjoyed camping in the Marysville Caravan Park as recently as last Easter, stayed at Fruit Salad Farm on a weekend escape, walked to the top of Steavenson Falls, eaten at the pub and visited Bruno's Sculpture Garden and Gallery. We all feel terribly sorry that this disaster has happened to such a lovely community as Marysville. Can anyone tell me if any of these places escaped the fires? We have been taken care of by the residents of Marysville, now it is our turn...

Thank you for such a quick and thoughtful site. Those who are not there, but are worried and sad for those who are, need to be able to express their thoughts. Having been through the fears in our East Gippsland fires of 2006, yet lucky enough to have escaped them, I feel so much for those involved now. We are in mourning for those who have lost their lives, including the helpless animals, sad for those who have lost their homes. God help them all.

my prayer and thoughts are with all affected. Stay Safe.

To all the people who have lost someone close to them during the bushfires, we feel your pain and sadness. We are trying to do our bit by raising money for the schools that have been destroyed so that the children can go back and learn, and try to have a normal life again.
We hope that the little bit we do can help to bring some peace.

Until these fires I though my life was tough. Losing your home, the hearth of family is bad enough; but to lose loved ones is the ultimate tragedy.
My wish for all who are suffering during this time, is to try and hold onto each other and go forward. Unsteady as you will be emotionally and physically; please know that ordinary people like myself say a prayer for you all each day in the hope that you may find the courage to start again.
RIP all who have been lost. God Bless all who remain.

15 years agoI am watching the news in Tenerife and send my prayers to you all “ When things go wrong as they sometimes will; When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill; When the funds are low, and the debts are high And you want to smile, but have to sigh; When care is pressing you down a bit- Rest if you must, but do not quit. Success is failure turned inside out; The silver tint of the clouds of doubt; And you can never tell how close you are It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit- It’s when things go wrong that you must not quit.”
