I have a photo that looks at me everyday in my office of Betty at her 80th birthday. 80 going on 60. I meet Betty less than 10 years ago at a craft fair where she told me quite frankly, that I would be able to make lace as she worked on one of her bookmarks in the shape of a dog. I thought then what an incredible woman and still think so today. Bett was a great teacher and taught me, and many others, more than just lace. If you wanted to learn something that Bett knew, she would help you and teach you every step of the way. Many a time I walked into Betty & Erics home hollering 'is the kettle on a woman is not a camel you know'. Betty used to take my cheek and give back just as much. I am lucky to have known Betty's wit, charm, patience and giving nature. When I was in Sydney I was part of a service club. Many a time I would leave Betty & Eric's loaded up with goodies for us to sell. We help out where we can she would say. I will miss her dearly. Cancer has robbed us of a wife, mother, teacher and friend.
