On October 17th, 1971, a day a new flower had bloomed, with brilliant colors of rainbow, and buds like wings of a butterfly. He had eyes that lit up the sky, like the sun that lit up the world. He was born with a heart of gold and a gentle soul. This flower was named Andy Whitfield and on that day a Angel was born, not knowing how his birth would one day change the lives of millions and his life would leave an imprint in the heart’s and souls of all who knew him. As this flower grew more beautiful, his name became famous, by betraying an Arch Angel and by playing the historical figure Spartacus, a role the propelled him into the star he was born to be. Then God decided your time here on earth Andy was done and needing you back home. You fought, like the warrior you were for 18 months, with all your had, with Vashti by your side and with all your family, friends and devoted fan’s rooting and praying for you, like the Champion you were in the arena. Then, on September 11th, 2011, the Bringer of Rain, left us peacefully, surrounded by love, his butterfly wings broke as did all our hearts. God took you home, to end your suffering, to end your pain, to give you a crown of jewels and a rope of white and wings to fly upon Heaven’s sky. We may never understand why God takes the one’s we love, but just know and believe one day we will see Andy again, at Heavens door, with open arms, greeting us at Heaven’s gate, to our new home. We know you are watching over your loving, supportive wife and your two adoring children Jesse & Indigo, whom will grow up knowing what kind of man and loving father you were. I know Vashti is a great mother and will raise them to love, respect and cherish everyday of their lives and to never take anything for granted. Andy your life will forever be immortality, the sound of your name will be endless and you will always have enduring fame. Not only because of being the loving actor, warrior & champion you were & always will be, but for also being the loving husband, father, son, friend and strong activist and a true hero in life the you will be for all eternity. Rest in Peace Andy…Gone, but NEVER forgotten.
