Alan served as an officer in 2/14 Battalion in World War II. He saw active service with the battalion in the Syrian Campaign of 1941, where he was seriously wounded, and on the Kokoda Trail during August and Sept, 1942. He also served as president of the Battalion Association in 1986. We will remember them.
