Aaron a good mate, great guy, supportive human being. Loving father to Shani.

I just tried to call Aaron on his mobile today, with no service, I googled for a contact , and was stunned to find he had passed away. I knew Aaron since the 70's Not only was he a wonderful man. He was very astute in combining the creative arts with business. He was immensely helpful to my career when he wrote about my work in billy blue. I remember the talks in the 70's we had in my gallery in the basement of an art deco building Union Street Nth Sydney, and the time he was excited about creating an art school under the Nth Sydney Oval grandstand. In the 80's I remember the time he turned up at my home in his beautifully restored 1950's red and white Chevrolet convertible, full of girls, it was the highlight of the day. When our son was born we named him after Aaron. I lost touch with him over the years until 2008 around a year before he passed away. He told me then he had gone through a difficult time and wasn't well. But even then he was selfless in asking if I needed any help to let him know. It is difficult to come to terms with the finality of Aarons passing, but I will always have the warm and happy memories of the times we connected.

I was employed by Aaron and his Billy Blue business partner Ross Renwick in the early 1980s. A great team. Aaron was a prudent manager and insightful entrepreneur. In the development of the business of design in Australia he should be seen as an innovator and one of the few great managers the design industry has had. In the few years I worked with Aaron it was clear he understood the role of creatives and let them do their thing. He also found excitement in pursuing new clients and new business directions

A wild search online for something else brought me news of Aaron's passing. What a shame. Aaron was a great landlord when I lived in a converted stable at the rear of his property in Terrey Hills many, many years ago. I still remember feisty Shani, her sister Elisha and brother. Please pass on my regards to the family.
I lost track of Aaron and his partner Ross Renwick. On a whim today I started browsing on Google and was dismayed to see that they have both passed away. I had many dealings, mostly with Aaron, in the late 1980's and then we caught up again in the new millennium. The last time I saw Aaron, he had made an amazing recovery and was back into life with his usual verve. Aaron was the personification of the word Gentleman. He was always positive and engaging, interested in the lives of the people with whom he interacted. He encouraged innovation and was an innovator in his own right, pursuing a myriad of business ventures. I have no doubt that many many people will continue to miss his heartfelt smile and kindness.
