Evil was as big an American Icon as it could possibly be for boys of all ages in the 70s. He even has his own pinball machine, that is how big a character he created/marketed. I hope he's at peace now, surely he seems to deserve it considering what we have today for 'roll models'.

I will always miss the Great friend i had! Only knew you the last 5 years of your life. But i gained a friend of a lifetime of memories & a bond that seemed to be there a lifetime! Thanks For the arguements, laughs & advice. Most of all for being there!! I only wish i could have met you when my dad was alive as i know you two would have been like brothers. but i know you two are sharing stories now & with your other loved one's in the great stadium in the sky!

Every boy in my neighborhood wanted to be like EVEL KNIEVEL when I was young. My brother and I used to make ridiculous ramps! Some neighborhood kids would lay down and we would jump them on our Sears Spirit of 76" bikes. The ramps would get more and more dangerous!! Plenty of memories, wrecks, wheelies and FUN!!! (and knuckle scrapes from the GYRO) A True American Icon and my lifetime Hero. My collection has been displayed in the front room for years, Nice to school the youngsters

I enjoyed the time we spent together, the traveling, the golf tournaments, the dinners with Mafia, Mohamad Ali, Joe Frazier, and so many others. But what I remember most, at least what I can post is that you were a strong man but so kind and loving. I remember when we were in Houston at the Doug Sanders Celebrity Golf Classic and I bought "Tiger" your daughter a stuffed Tiger, you slept with it next to you that night because you missed her so much and it made you feel closer to her. I have even see you cry. That is what makes you so strong and I am so glad you are with Jesus, your Saviour now. You always knew him, you just had so many distractions. You will be dearly missed by so many. God Bless and I will see you in Heaven. Love your friend always, Cindy
