My brother was love, he was joy, he was laughter, he was funny, he was happiness, he was a confidant, he was an encourager, he was a supporter, he was a giver. There are really no words that would ever describe all that my brother was. I have many memories of how he made me laugh. When my husband Mark left to go to Germany in 1981, I felt my world had ended, but Rickey was right there to help me through it, he understood and wiped my tears. We spent a lot of time together before I joined my husband in Germany. He would take me out on back roads and work with me on driving a stick shift. Lord knows there was a lot of laughter during those times as I was not too good at the stick shift thingy, but Rickey had a great deal of patience with me also. Yes, we had many good times. Family gatherings where music was played and songs were sung. I am sure mom, dad and Rickey are all together playing music and singing songs as they watch over. Yes, I fully believe they are with us, and they give us signs they are here all the time. I know I will be reunited with them some day and I do look forward to that day arriving, boy oh boy what a reunion that awaits us all. I think Rickey will be one of the first ones in line to greet me on the other side.

I was only 18 months old when I was blessed with a baby brother. We grew up together, played and even had our disagreements, we also cried and laughed together. Sometimes he would make me laugh so hard I would cry. He loved having fun. when we were kids we sang in church. Music always played a big part in our family, we would all get together and sing old southern gospel songs. I will always have this hole in my heart without him. Rickey has been gone 2 years now but I still feel like I should pick up the phone and call him. He was the best brother any girl could hope for. I will always love him and hope we will be reunited in heaven someday. He would be so proud of Leann and the beautiful job she did creating this site.

My brother, no body could ever have a brother better than mine. Rickey was the greatest brother on earth. He was my best friend, my protector, and he was the one that would make me laugh when i was down. He is still letting his presence be known from the other realm, he sends me pennies from Heaven, along with smilie faces. I miss him so much, it left a big hole in my heart the day he left us, and started his new journey, i will never stop loving him.

My daddy was a very loving, happy person. He loved his family and his grandkids. He loved driving a truck. It was his passion from the time he was old enough to walk. He was a great dad. He was like a big kid himself,so all the kids loved him. He loved to play the guitar, deer hunt, and spend time with his grand kids and family. He almost always had a smile on his face, whether he was sick and having a bad day or not. He taught me lots of things through music and always told me to reach for my dreams and hold on until I got them. He was my best-friend. He could always make a bad situation go better. He was the life of the party. I remember when he was having open heart surgery and he was still on the bed telling jokes, going into surgery. He was just that type of person. He didnt want anyone to be sad or worry about him. I remember teasing him about cappachino, in which he didnt like.He called it crapachino..haha. He was a man with a very big shoe to try to fill and there isnt anyone that would ever be close enough to that.
