I went to highschool with Megan, and she even was a penpal with me for a while after we graduated. I have made it a goal of mine in life to visit her grave to pay my respects. I thought I read however, she was buried in Kansas. I've done a little research online, but havent had success in finding out what cemetary she was buried in. Any idea how I can find this out, or ask her family? Thank you.

ToMegan and her family, My name is Danell Shafer. I was the Ft. Bragg wife who organized the rally against the Westboro Baptist Church who came to protest Megan's death. Megan, I think about you often, and can't forget what happened to you. My heart aches all of the time when I think about why we were given the opportunity to Rally for the Troops. My heart has been heavy in the recent weeks and I wanted to stop in and tell you how much you really mean to us. Much Love! Danell Shafer.

Oh Megan, I was doing some spring cleaning the other day and I found the video footage of you showing me around your apartment in Germany, when you lived below me and Tommy. We had great times in Germany and just seeing this video footage made me smile. It seemed like you were right here! I love and miss you.

My heart goes out to Megan's family, everyday- as we share common tears of grief and pain in the loss of our daughters. I'm Holley James Wimunc's mother. The holidays are especially traumatic, mine being Holley's birthday is in December, but whatever the triggers of emotions are- they are with us for life- sadly, this is what these inhumane soldiers have left us with instead of the smiles, the energy, and the strength of our daughter soldiers. There is no Justice that Man can Offer, so I leave it to GOD and prayers that others may somehow be saved from this heartbreak.

Mrs. James, Thank you for the kind words. I am so sorry about the loss of Holly, she was a very beautiful young lady. I am truely heartbroken everytime I learn of another senseless murder. I just don't understand how someone can look at a situation and decide murder is the best option. I will never understand it. I am somewhat comforted in knowing that these two cowardly monsters are in jail. I am also heartbroken by the loss of my first grandchild, a little boy, to be named Tristan. All I have is an ulta-sound picture, but I will always treasure that. Once again I am so very sorry for your loss and hug those granbabies. Sibcerely, Debbie Heine (debbie.heine@gmail.com)

As Holley James Wimunc's mother, I understand the pain and grief that her family and friends are going through in not knowing the reasons these horrible incidents have happened at Fort Bragg. Sadly, her precious child was taken with her, the only comfort being that it shall not bare the Battle Scars of Domestic Violence as Tre & Kendall must- a blessing for this unborn child that is of no comfort to any. The gravity and gruesomeness of events seem so out of place in a military environment- but its a different - Sad World with every lost soldier, son, and daughter. God Bless Her Family, Friends, and the USA.

Well I went to school wit Megan since 7th grade...in middle school I remember how much she was into the Hanson brothers (LOL) she was crazy obessed with them and thats what brought a lot of our laughs...She loved to talk...so that's why I think we clicked so good. I honestly cant remember when she started cheering maybe middle school but I know she put her heart into it cause i cheered and abosultely hated it but she made some of the times fun....then we go to highschool...she ran track or cross country with my brother Josh and it was so funny cause she would always be off talkin to someone when suppose to be running she was hilarious...I also from the time I can remember how she longed to join the service and talked so much about her sister being in the NAVY i believe... She was always talkin to the recruiters....It is so sad to know such a good soul a funny/loving soul was taken by a worthless excuse of a human being...I am sorry to her family and will pray for the justice of ur daughter and her unborn baby....She pretty much Rocked the house so GOD rest her soul and let her Rock Heaven!!!!

I did not know Megan that well, I only met her a hand full of times when she was married to her ex-husband. I served with him in Iraq, and feel for his loss. To Megan's family, words cannot express the sorrow you all must feel, and for that, I'm truly sorry.

I met megan when I was workin as a cashier n Bamberg. We started talking about Egypt n how she went there with her husband then. She had just got into town and she didn't talk to anybody so we started hanging out because my husband had deployed. She loved to get did up n go out. She was a fast learner 2 n that always surprised me bout her. She always made everyone laugh n had a positive outlook about everything. I hadn't talked to her since I left Bamberg and its sad to hear news like this but she was a great person to know and you'll always be missed n loved by many. U r an inspiration for alot of ppl and we're all blessed that you were part of our lives.

I remember Megan when I was in Bamberg, Germany, she saw me in the clinic a few times and was always so chatty and friendly. She asked me where to go downtown since I'd been there a while, and I remember her being really pretty in person. Her murderer was one of my CTC students in Bamberg, and he always creeped me out. He's going to get what it coming to him for taking away someone so beautiful and so kind to someone like me who she didn't know, but someone who she was just really friendly to. Justice is on it's way. To her family, know that people are praying for you all over the world who were touched by your daughters warmth and fun personality.

I didn't know Megan, but I was an Army Soldier from 1978-1984 and I still have a strong sense of Family from the Army. I Mourn Her as I would any Family or Friend. She was Beautiful and would have been an Outstanding Mother. I Regret never having known Her and Wish that I could have, but I Hope and Pray that Megan and Her Baby are in a Better Place and have Better Lives. I will not foget Her, Her Baby, Maria Lauterbach and Her Baby or Lt. Holley Winunc. God Bless Them All.

I was in Germany with Touma and had hung out with her a few times and BBQ'd with her a few times also and from what I knew of her, she was a sweet, funny, and energetic person that was so excited to have that baby.... I remember the night before we left Germany to come to Iraq, she came in my room to say her good byes to all the guys and myself because she was goin back to the states and told us all to be careful... I wish I could of had more time to get to know her a little better but I know that the time I did spend with her was fun... She was a great person and I know she will be greatly missed... RIP Megan Touma!

I am a Soldier stationed in Fort Bragg, N.C. This is a very sad thing that has happened to this young girl. I know the police will find the killer and he will be punished. I would like everyone not to forget what the Officer in Charge of the 19th replacement failed to do!! That's not running an organized company. She should be FIRED and yes Officers can be FIRED... This story is just another example of how the U.S. Military is soo unorganized. We have to start holding Officers and NonCommissioned Officers accountable. I have been in the Army for more than a year now and all I have seen is the hire ranking Soldier's be unorganized theirselves or just saying they can't do anything about it. This is crazy. GOD BLESS SPC Touma

I am asking that all of Megan's friends and family know that there are people on here (Greg Barnes and others) sending messeges to anyone that knew Megan, asking questions, please don't answer them. They are reporters who don't actually care about what happened, they just want a story. Megan and her little one deserve better than that. They deserve to be able to rest in peace together, not just be a story for some reporter who's just trying to break their big story. Out of respect for Megan, out of love for her and her unborn little angel, please ignore these people, tell them to leave you alone, whatever it takes. R.I.P. Megan and Little One.

This news shocked me. I saw Megan's picture in the news and swore I new her. It's then that I realized that this person was the girl I knew as PVT Heine in Basic Training. I finished many runs next to Megan and will never forget her enduring spirit and passion for both running and life. It's such a tragedy and I will forever miss one of my battle buddies being here on earth. My thoughts and prayers are with Megan's family and I hope closure is soon brought.

I was stationed with Megan in Fort Drum, NY .We were close friends. She was a very kind and giving person. She and her ex-husband invited me over for dinner on my last night in the Army & on Fort Drum... What a sad, tragic loss. I'm stunned and bewildered that my friend Megan, was MURDERED! she didn't just die- someone took her from us. I hope the zodiak wanna-be rots in hell!

To Megan: This really hit me hard. I was best friends with Maria Lauterbach, the marine that was 8 months pregnant that was murdered. When I heard about it happening to another Armed Service Member, my heart sank. The question on everyone's mind is why? And we'll never know. But I'm sure He has a plan for you and your unborn child. I know family and friends want you home, but in their hearts, they know you are in a better place. Although I did not know you, I feel as if I do since this is repeating and the nightmare starts over just when it was starting to settle. May you and your baby Rest in Peace and find some comfort in knowing that you are safe from harm and that Justice WILL BE served. It might take a while, it might not. But just know you will never be forgotten and that your killer will get what is coming to them... To Family and Friends: I know this is a hard time. But in time, things will get better, although you will be forever saddended by the loss of Megan and her child. I lost someone in almost the same scenario and let me just tell you that I'm hurting for all of you and Megan and her baby. But with that comes ANGER! WHY?! I don't understand why people can be so heartless and just do this to anyone, let alone pregnant women (this is becoming all too common). Just keep your heads up and be there for one another and stay strong. This is much easier said than done, but just know that they both are safe now and in a better place where they can't be hurt, even though we want them here. My arms are always open because I DO know what it's like to lose someone very close to you. It's just ironic that they were both in the Armed Forces and were both pregnant. But most important of all, they were beautiful, wonderful heroes and will be great mothers to their babies. God Bless you; you are all in my prayers... Rachel Tilley
