If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven And bring you home again. Just wondering how you are doing right now. It's been tough because i am not sure but ibelieve your character while you were here with us will speak for you. You are a great man, a pleasant one at that. the whole world is missing you.

Dekunle, forever is a very long time to wait, it is hopeless, so sad and very painful. The strongest kind of friendship is when you know that even the biggest fight has no chance to ever break you up;even death cannot achieve this. Continue to rest in the Lord, you really deserve it.

We never had a conversation. I think I knelt down to greet you only once or twice. However I knew you were a great man. I remember how your laugh filled the room. How each person at a crowded gathering wanted a chance to greet you. You were so special to so many. Thank you for being a genuine person. Thank you for the love you had for your community. Through your passing may we all learn to love each other more and strive to be a blessing to others. May the peace of God be upon your soul. Amen

Wasiu, this is not the time for you to die when your wet clothes are still hanging outside for sun to dey them but God knows best. Asiwaju, the last time i saw you, was on your wedding day with Adenike. I didnt know that would be the last time i would see you. What a pity. Kunle, I believe God knows best for calling you beyond at the time you were preparing to go and settle in Nigeria. After a very hard labour, both in summer and winter especially the cruel snow that took your life. Wasiu, as your fondly called by the family and Dekunle by your mum. You have gone to rest and move away from this sinful world. I pray to Almighty God to forgive you all your sins, also to give your parents, wife, children and the entire families of Allis and Majoyegbes the strenght to bear this Great loss. Wasiu, we all love you but Allah loves you most. Asleep in the bosom of Allah until we meet again. ADIEU Kunle ADIEU Asiwaju ADIEU Oko Adenike ADIEU Baba Ademola Junior. Seilat Majoyegbe Ashiru.

Kunle Abdulwasiu Alli, I am still in shock and at a loss for words. The terrible tragedy of Feb 5 still makes me shudder. But I take solace in the memory of many wonderful times we shared, and continuing prayers for your soul by so many you left behind. May God bless your family and make your dreams for them become reality, Amen.

Ever smiling Kunle Alli is gone! Your smiling face always make you look younger, ebulient, radiant and full of life. That was the way I knew you so many years ago back in our great high School, Ede Baptist High School (EBHS). And so, I'm just coming to terms gradually since I got the news from our friends with the reality confirmed by all that we have indeed lost Kunle Alli to the cold hands of death and you have been translated from mortality to immortality. We lost contact after we all left school but were united again in Chicago at the birthday of our friend, Moses Olatunji, MD. We went down memory lane with lots of banters. We sang our school anthem together on that very occassion. We all saw you drove off after the party on your way back to New Jersey. Although, we kept in touch on phone but little did I know that, that was going to be the last time I'll see you physically. May light perpetual shine on you and may your soul rest in perfect peace. It is my prayer that the Lord will uphold your wife & children and comfort them and your entire family back home in Nigeria as well at this difficult time. You will be greatly missed.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure, surely yours will always be a treasure. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow now, I pray that looking back in memory will help comfort tomorrow. God will continue to hold you in the hollow of his hands. The bitterest tears shed over your grave & prayer session are for words you left unsaid and deeds left undone. Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again! God will comfort your mum and the Ade4, you were so passionate about them. You toiled and you were fulfilled but you did not wait to enjoy thereafter, what a life? You created a vacuum that is very difficult to fill for you were a unique being. You were first ‘Agboworin’ before ‘Asiwaju’. Kunle so wa? Mo wa ok. You will forever be ok with the saints. Laugh as we always laughed, play, and smile for you had the best of the smiles If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Dekunle, omo Demola, baba Demola, continue to enjoy with the saints till resurrection day!

Kunle Alli was my high school classmate and a good friend. We had lost contact over a long period of time. When we finally reconnected during a visit to New Jersey it was as if we never lost a day, it was "abepe" (that is what we call our high school) all over again. A few months after this meeting, he drove hundreds of miles to attend my birthday party in Chicago. What a friend. Kunle ,you will be greatly missed. May God be with his wife and children as they go through this difficult time. Moses Yanju Olatunji, MD Fort Wayne, IN

I was saddened today to learn of the passing of Kunle Alli - a friend and an original co-member of Lagos Alliance Club Intnl. Kunle Alli was always impressed me for his creative thoughts and a for being a voice of reason and moderation that I was privileged to know during our membership experiences together at LACINT. He was also known for his kindness and generousity. Kunle, you will be missed. Your calm disposition in the heat of group debate is a trait that is unrivaled. I'm sure God has a place for you now amongst the angels with similar dispositions. Rest In Peace dear friend.

Why can't we get people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together ? I guess that would not work. Someone will leave, someone always leaves. Then we have to say good-bye. Adieu ! Asiwaju Egba, Chief Adekunle Wasiu Alli. May your gentle soul rest in peace. O digba. Chief and Mrs Pius and Funmilayo Olabode

Oh Banque! I thank God for your life. You fought all odds to be who you were and succeeded leaving behind a foot print on the sand of times. Couple of weeks before your departure you chose to discuss with me your dreams and aspirations regarding your retirement to Nigeria. You shared a lot with me and even mandated me to help reach out to some people and also make some enquiries on your behalf, but unfortunately we could not get to talk again before you took the final bow. What a wonderful fun it was while it lasted, from 39 kirikiri Road to 23 Osho Drive, the Apapa Road connection, Lagos Island home of the Gafars, Ikosi Ketu before you set out to Italy in search of a golden fleece and your miraculous entry into the United States of America. Oh Banque how I wish it never happened but no man can challenge the wish of the Almighty Allah. I could remember standing right behind you at the palace of the Alake of Abeokuta on the day the ancient city decided to honour you with a chieftaincy title - Asiwaju Sun re o! On behalf of my family I send our sincere condolences to his lovely wife - Erelu Adenike Alli, Adeola, Kunle Alli Jnr and Ademola. May the almighty God be your strength. Amen

Dear Kunle, speaking with you on Friday just before noon after not seeing you or speaking with you during the holidays brought so much joy and happiness, unknown to me that, this was going to be the last time we spoke. The shock of your sudden departure will remain with me for a very long time. You were truly a silent gentleman, it is my hope and prayer that, God Almighity will grant your wife, children and members of your family strenght to bear this loss. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.

Mr. Alli was a gentle man to the core, a calm river that ran deep. He dreamt big and worked hard. He was supremely confident in the goodness of God and the ultimate triumph of the cause we embraced. He was soft spoken; his strength was not projected via the decibel of his voice but the clarity of his view.I knew him within a short period of time and I can recall him to be a beacon of hope to this generation.Life is short & death is sure. But what we do will remain indelible on the sand of time.Let roll out drums to celebrate his invaluable accomplishment while we mourn his painful & irreparable lost

The last time i spoke to Kunle was a day before i travelled to Nigeria in December 2010. He was full of life as usual and i didn't know that was to be the last time. We grew up together and never saw him get angry with any one for a moment. A jolly fellow to be with, a great friend to know. I pray God will be with Nike, the kids and extended family at this time to bear this loss. I pray that God keeps him in His bossom. Sun re o.

Ali, you will live on in my memory forever as the man who had figured out the meaning of life. You were an absolute joy to be around. You always had a big smile on your face. Everything you did was done with passion. I will replay in my mind the great discissions we had. I will cherish the many words of wisdom I was previledged to receive from you. You will always be alive for me. Always. Even as I write these words I feel your intense eyes demanding of all of us around you to be thoughtful and to really think about what one was about to say. Your intensity was combined with a remarkable ability to make a person feel the warmth of your soul and the joy you radiated. Being around you Ali was living, living in a world of the possible. I will honor you the only way I believe you would want me to do, by giving my best everyday. By fulfilling the plans discussed. You are a Kibg among men. I know that God will bless your soul and take care of your family. Thank you for sharing your joy with me. Thank you for making me laugh and smile even when all I wanted to do was be serious. Thank you for telling me to lighten up. Thank you fit being a friend. I love you, Patrick Terborg
