It's been 10 years since you departed, mate. And this would have been your 50th year had you not passed on. I didn't know you as well as I would have liked to. You seemed like a good guy who just wanted to share your voice with anyone who appreciated it. Those old days were precious times! I hope your family is well. I imagine none of this has been easy on them. Even 10 years after your departure.

Never met Daniel, only wish I did,but his voice as soon as I heard it blew me away, still does to this day,Daniel sounded like Daniel to me,unique in his own way,not only that but from what I heard and read he was also a top man with a killer sense of humour, what a great loss indeed !!!

I mixed FOH and was TM for Bonham supporting Emerson, Lake and Palmer in 1992 ... we practiced in Philly by the water and lived in the Korman Suites for about a month before the tour started ... Danny was having the worst time with his throat ... we drove into Philly everyday to visit a throat specialist and also a vocal coach ... Danny and I became very close that summer along with Ian (guitar player) we were the three musketeer's ... The unstoppable laughter, the endless fun and the long talks that went well into the early hours of the morning on those rolling coaches ... Danny and the boys rocked the masses and put on flawless performances consistently night after night with Danny at the Helm they were a powerful force to reckon with ... I just learned of his passing and blindsided me as a runaway freight train rolling out of the blackness and being impaled by a red hot train rail ... I love you Danny, always have, always will ... peace be with you my brother now and forever ... I am wearing your favorite black tank top you wore so many nights on stage ... it's the only material thing you ever gave me but you left me with a wealth of love in my heart and a ocean full of memories that will keep me until we are together again ... david pigg

Recently I pulled out my Bonham "Mad Hatter" CD after over 10 years. I was a big fan of Bonham, and especially their second album Mad Hatter in 1992, which seem to slip right past everyone, into the clearance rack, and gone forever. No radio airplay, only one music video played just a few times on MTV and I never saw or heard from them again, until Jason's new band a few years later with a different singer. There were so many dynamic arrangements and performances on Bonham's Mad Hatter album, sometimes I just don't understand why the rest of the world is not entertained by great rock albums like that. The general public seemed to pass Bonham off as just "a Zeppelin rip-off band." But even if Daniel sounded like Plant and of course Jason sounds like his father, they were their own original band. It seems to me to be such a sudden, unexpected and tragic death for a very young performer. I'm sad.

In poughkeepsie ny, back then at the Mid Hudson Civic Center. It was so loud that we had to stuff toilet paper in our ears. My wife love s "Wait for You" so just for kicks I did a search and sadly found out that Danny passed. I lost a brother to a similar fate back in '04 so I can relate a little. Anyways that's all I have so RIP Danny and peace.

One of the great talents of metal, even if underappreciated. Sincere condolences to all of those that knew him, cherish the music and children that he left behind. I'm saddened personally to have never met or talked with him. I ironically was looking for his myspace to try and not only find out about his current music but to also try and communicate with him. How many of us leave such a mark on the world as Daniel MacMaster did?

I have know Dan since the early days in Scorcher and have way to many memories - I wouldn't know where to start. In the end it really comes down the the person who he was. Besides being such a talented musician he was such a humble beautiful person. He has so many reasons to be pretentious, but wasn't. The world is worse off without him in it. Love ya brother!
