My Grandfather, William George Best (SNR), was and will forever be idolised by many. He was a loving husband, father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. My Grandfather is one of very few people who I idolise. Not only has he accomplished a lot in his life, he also encouraged others to accomplish the best in life. One of my favourable memories of my Grandfather was when my siblings and I visited him at his house. When we arrived, he greeted us with a big smile and the biggest hug. My Grandfather loved his family, and he did anything for them, and I'm so grateful he got meet meet his two great grandchildren. He got to meet his Great Granddaughter (my daughter) twice, and she absolutely adored him. Apparently, she had taken my sister's 'chocolate face' title! William Gerorge Best (SNR) will be dearly missed. Rest In Peace, Grandad.

I have always had great memories of Besty, from a very early age out of respect i always called him Uncle Bill, although he was in fact my cousin. Bill has always been a steadfast, hard working.giving man, always loyal, always ready to help any family or friend's , of which there are hundreds. A loving father, grandfather, and family member. Bill you will be greatly missed by all those whose lives you touched, and i can truely say that this is one cousin who will miss the hell of your wit, charm, and true warmth. As i promised you ages ago, i will do my best to be here for David and his new wife, and others that you held dear to your heart,,,,they know who they are. Lastly Bill, this Friday it is my shared honour to help carry you on your final journey........... GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU BILL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,p.s.......pls say hello to all the others up there all our family together.

I was married to Bill Best for 21 years. He was a good father to our children and grandad to our 7 grandchildren, he was also proud of his two grandchildren. I did not seen anything of him for a number of years as I live in Spain. Rest in peace Bill, as I belive you have suffered in the last few years.

I always remember looking forward to seeing Grandad, he was the type of guy who could turn a bad mood into a good one with one word, but due to his amazing work ethic we saw him at star video most of the time, and he always ordered us to go upstairs and pick out any video we wanted and we would take it home. Even in his last days he was very uplifting, I remember sitting around his bed and he would always give us a smile at the perfect time, I think he is the only man who has the strength and Charisma to do that taking into account the condition he was in. I doubt I will ever meet someone like that again, RIP Grandad.

I have so many fond memories of my Grandad. I have never once heard him call me by my real name, I was always known as 'Chocolate face' to him. This always put a smile on my face and it is thanks to Grandad that I love chocolate so much! I always remember when I was younger that we used to meet Grandad in his shop and we always got pie and mash for lunch and lots of helpings of chocolate for afters (living up to my nickname of course). My Grandad was such as lovely person and it was always impossible to be with him and not have a smile on your face, he always lit up the room and he will always be in my heart.
