Never met him but we were distant cousins, from different branches of the same family, which traces itself back to the Scottish Borders area, variously spelled Clazie, Clazy, Clazey, Clezie and Clezy. His middle name was Grenfell, not Grenfeel. He was named after Sir Wilfred Grenfell, a medical doctor and missionary to the aboriginal people of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Clezy family in Australia included many distinguished medical doctors, nurses and missionaries.
