We had the joy of doing a walk/'trek" with Wayne & Lyn and then spending 5 weeks in July 2010 traversing Australia and the Canning Stock Route and travelling back to the east coast via the East McDonald Ranges in the NT. Wayne loved the bush, it's serenity, peace and endless time for just being there. He meticilously organized the trip, provisions and stores and planned daily travel adventures. His absolutely delightful sense of humour, as dry as the desert never left him, and he rejoiced in being able to wash up one day in a soak, that we dug in a river bed after a long and languid lunch reflecting on his return to the city, and how much he loved the outback. Goodbye Wayne, we can't be with Lyn at the service tomorrow, but we will be there in the future and we say thanks for your generous spirit, your peaceful cooperation in all things logistic and the chance to know you and share our love of all things west of the metropilis. And guess what? It is raining! Shall spend Saturday morning in quiet reflection in our bush, remembering you. You will be missed, Bless you with our affection David and Betsy Turner

We spent a wonderful day sailing in our catamaran this summer with Wayne , Lyn and very close friends. It was a perfect day and I took a photo of him on my phone because he always makes me laugh. I still have it and look into his happy face now and remember how much he wanted to sail a cruising catamaran. Stu and I are grateful that we were able to share in his wish together that day. Thank you Wayne. You will always make me laugh thinking of you. Carmen

I met Wayne at University. I remember Wayne's enthusium for life. I remember his cars - his beloved Red Mini Cooper S he meticulously rebuilt with his dad; his Jag, and later his Alpha's. I remember going down to his place at Barrack Point during Uni days with our boards and surfing. I remember us both having a lot more hair in those days. I remember his joy when he met Lyn. I remember spending long hours together going over assignment questions in our professional year to become Chartered Accountants. Wayne had swagger, carisma, a twinkle in his eye, a spring in his step, and was always good to be around. Although, I didn't see him much in recent years, I really will miss him. I have wonderful memories of Wayne. My thoughts are with Lyn and their boys. Craig

Wayne gave his best, expected the best, loved his life and extracted the max from all he did. Chatting on the boat at christmas with a glass of Chardy, eating prawns and oysters. Talking about how important the people are that you work with. I have loved working with Wayne and will miss him terribly. Liz
