Huffington Post, 09/19/2012. Cyclist Victor Cabedo, who competed in the Tour of Britain last week, has died after he was hit by a car when training. Spaniard Cabedo was struck by a car and fell into a ravine whilst training in Almedijar Castellon. He was 23 years old. The Euskatel-Euskadi cyclist expressed his condolences after the passing of vice president of the Cycling Federation of Valencia, Momparler Pascual just seven days ago. Cabedo, born in Castellon town of Onda, made his professional debut last year with his best results the stage victory in the fourth stage of the Tour of Asturias, the fifth in the Spring Klasika and when he finished ninth in the Championship of Spain. He had to withdraw from the Tour of Britain on 11 September due to a fever, which had "made me get off the bike". Our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of Victor. Rest in peace.
