Tom played on the Pinnacol softball team for 5+ years. He always played short-stop because he loved getting those "outs" at first. He'd get these big wild eyes as he reared back to blast the ball at the first baseman. Man he could throw hard!! I will always remember Tom on the fields at the Kennedy Softball park and the brief meetings we had in his office regarding life's endeavors. You were a great man Tom!

Tom would leave me a voicemail message about once a month. They would always be brief and rapid, like, "Hi, Tom Struyk, please call!" I would return the call, expecting a problem of one sort or another, but it was almost never a problem. Instead, it was positive feedback about one of my employees. He would gush about what a great guy Dave is, or how much he appreciated Diane, or how helpful Jim had been. I came to look forward to Tom's brief voicemail messages.
