i worked at p&r linen which was a diaper service , towel and linen rental service. Boris who was at that time Anitas boyfriend and also who was my boss ( by the way the best boss anyone could ever have ) . i worked here while Anita was diligently studying to become a CPA and of course we all know she was a success . Anita is the sweetest , kindest most sincere lady i have ever had the honour of knowing. We all know the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. I apologize for being so long winded. Anyway, to get back to the main point of this article which was Sylvia and the role she played in my life. Boris decided one day to play a trick on sylvia. he was always doing crazy things anyway. Well this one day Boris decided to play a trick on Sylvia by covering our toilet seat with plastic. he waited all in fun as he heard her screams of Boris!! This memory is probably 25 years old but i will never forget it for as long as i live. There are many funny and fond memories of Sylvia and Gene that will remain with me forever and i am quite willing to share these with you for her memorial service in windsor. All my love to Anita and family. I remember visting Sylvia with perhaps one of my children. Must have been in the early '60s. At Central and Tecumseh Rd. I was a brand new mom. It must have been near Christmas time. I was so impressed when one of your girls, must have been your elder, picked up her play phone and asked for Baby G (as in Jesus). She was requesting a certain toy for the holidays. In lieu of Santa Claus. Made a great impression on me and my later child rearing. Am so sad about Sylvia's passing. She was such a Lady with a Capital L. Am sorry we haven't contacted in the meantime as we live in Kingsville. Am hoping that Dave will come to the memorial to shake your hand, Gene. I have to crew with son, Doug's, racing car at Mosport at that time as Dave's back won't let him travel that far. Big hugs to you and your family. Signed Scooter.

My mother....My friend. What I remember most about my childhood is that my mom would always be waiting after school to hear about my day with genuine interest. I loved sharing my stories with her then and up until the day she passed. Mom was a genuine earth angel who was never far if advice or a helping hand was needed. I will miss her warm laugh, healing touch and kind heart. I know that she has crossed over to a better place and is already helping others. She is with me everyday. I love you mom.
