My Susie Q so many times I tried to send you a message, but every time I could not see because of the tears blinding my eyes. I hope I can finish this message to you. Everyone misses you, even those who knew you briefly. My most precious memory of you is how you disciplined your four children. You would gently sit down with them and put their precious faces in your two hands and explain to them good from bad. Well, Susie Q, it worked because you have four wonderful adults. You would be so proud of them. They all miss and love you so much. They will be visiting you today. I just wish I was able to visit your grave site today with them, but I do visit your memorial tree here that your friend Barbara Belich had planted for you. I know you are up in heaven trying to please everyone as you did here. Pleasing was a characteristic of yours that will never be forgotten. Take care of dad. I miss him and it is comforting to know you two are together. I have to stop now even though I have so much more to tell you. Love Mom

Special intentions to you my dearest friend Suzanne. How true is the saying that u don't know how much you love someone until they are gone. I miss your passion for life and your beautiful face. You will always be remembered and loved. I cherish all our crazy memories...so much to laugh about. You were larger than life and we all look back now and appreciate all the time we had with you. The crazy things we did with the kids and all that you gave to me and everyone else will never be forgotten. I've learned to live without regrets since you left because I regret that day that I was not there for you.....love in my heart always, Michele

It seems like yesterday that we were playing in the yard, God, how we all miss you. We will never forget about you and keep your smile in our hearts. Mom is doing well, Lori is with her. Nicolas and little Joel ask about who you are. I wish they would of had the opportunity to get to know you. Joel always asks about Halle, Jack, Jared and Siera. I wish we would have the opportunity to see them more, but everyone is in sports and on the go. I just wanted to say that I love you and miss you dearly.... Your brother Edward

I worked with you when I was 16 and interning at WLAJ! Your office was within sight of my desk and I became very close with you over those few months. You gave me a lot of great advice and made me understand the whole big world of news. You even gave me the opportunity to have my own section in the evening line up. That was one of the greatest memories of my life and I'm so glad I had you there guiding me along the way. You were such a blessing in my life at the time and it makes me sad to realize how rough a time you were going through and I had no idea. You always had a smile on your face! I will always remember you and hope you're in a much better place. RIP Suzanne. Steph

hey momma, i miss you soo muchh and i don't go a day without thinking about you. i'm so glad i had a momliek you. You taught me so many life lessons and you raised me right. I look back on on the great things you have done and i can't even count them all becasue there are soo many. i know your looking down on me.Everyone is doing good. Halle is going off to college soon. Jack and Jared are doing great in basketball and I am getting ready to start my basketball playoffs too. And then soon I will be starting track! Remeber how you would run alongside the track when I was running? That is one on my favorite memories. Another was when we put the little bunnies in our picnic basket at my soccer game. That was soo funny...We visited your memorial today and we decorate your gravestone and everything! We also released balloons and prayed for you. I love you soo much and I can't wait to meet you in heaven. Everyone always has good things to say about you. You should be proud of the wonderful life you led. You changed many lives in a good way, especially mine. I LOVE YOU. beep beep (: You are my guardian angel. Watch over me.

We miss you dearly. Mom is with me today and she is doing good. We took her on her first cruise and she was treated like a "Rock Star". Little Joel is as tall as mom now and Nicolas is getting bigger. I know that you are with dad and watching over all of us. I still try and keep in contact with Halle, Sierra, Jack and Jared, but it is hard as everyone is in a sport and traveling. If they are not playing somewhere, we are. I will always keep in touch with them as sometimes I feel as though we are their last link to you. I know Joel is so busy that he hardly call me and Lori Lynn is trying to sell her home in Florida and move back. We all miss you dearly and know that you are still with us. I will always make sure that mom is taken care of and that your children know that we are still here for them. Halle is going to college, I can not believe it. She sent us some pictures and Matti is so right, they look just like you, especially Halle. She is going to play basketball and we are going to make a field trip to go see her play. I hear that Jack and Jarred are studs and Sierra is a beatifule young lady who is graduating from 8th grade. I just want to say that we love you and miss you... Your brother Edward

My beautiful 2nd mother, I miss you so much and I wish I could just spend another day with you. I know you are here with me, but I still miss you a ton. Your smile, kindness, and enthusiasm for everything will forever be with me. You should see the kids. Oh my gosh! The boys are getting so big and Halle/Sierra look just like you! We miss you a ton. I miss your cooking, you ALWAYS open door, your stories, our Thursday night Grey's Anatomy parties, and just you. I hope you're doing great! You are and will always be in my heart! LOVE YOU MAMA, Matti :)

Today, it has been two years. I miss my sister dearly. I spoke with Mom, Joel and Lori today, and we all miss her. She was an awsome sister who truly loved her children. I know that she is watching over all of us, especially her children. I know for a fact that she would want for them to succed in everything that they do, to do their best with their head held high. I know that she is smiling right now as Halle got a scholarship already and she is not even a senior yet. She knows that her other children will follow Halle's lead. I know that Suzzane would want for her children to know that "You never know when you you are making a memory", so do your best in everything you do.

I met Suzanne when our children attended the same school. She was the only mom at the school who always made a point of saying hello. She made a point to let me know that she knew my son by name and always asked how I was doing. This seems like such a small thing, yet she was the only mom at the school to do this. As we approach the 2nd anniversary of Suzanne's passing, I just want her friends and family, especially her children, to be reminded of what a good heart she had. May she rest in peace.

I knew Suzanne when we worked together at TV 9 & 10 in Cadillac, MI. She was always upbeat, kind and caring. She was a hard-working reporter who was destined for a great career. Then she embarked upon motherhood so I read later and of course see on this site. I know she was a fine mother because Suzanne never did anything halfway. If she was going to be a mom, she would be the best. Dear children, you have a great mother who is at peace in Heaven with the angels. Those of us who know her truly miss her. Kathy

Hi Sierra Steve Baxley from jackson,Michigan here, I like to say that I cherished your moms friendship when she came to WLAJ abc53 Lansing, she will always be one rare gem who i will never forget. She took time to chat with me and it was a joy to see in her eyes the light and love she had for not only her job as news anchor, but also of the city she called home as well. She enjoyed my artwork, and even showed some of it off during a few wrap ups of abc3NEWS the last thing I did for her was her face on a million dollar bill,on the same day I gave her a valentine artwork She is one in a million ,there will never be another like her, because she was one of a kind! I will always have fond memories of the diamond called Q ,and thank you for allowing me and others who knew her to remeber her as a good and loving angel and special friend Feel free to see my video tribute I did (www.youtube.com/lugnuts6)

I had met Suzzane right when she moved from Royal Oak to Birmingham. It was during her divorced - - maybe later she moved back to Royal Oak. Anyway, I never went out with her but we hung out a few times. I could see that she had issues - - maybe a little more like all other people but not extreme. Like alot of these posts, people can get involved in things that they don't necessarily know has consequences. I do remember her talking about this financial opportunity. I guess what I am saying is that she was vulnerable. A very beautiful person, sensitive, a little off due to what had been happening in her life. I wish I would have been more insistent that she see someone. I think she wanted to have "the life". But I wanted to tell her this "fabulous life" is all BS. We all can be vulnerable and get into some unwise things. I wish to god I would have assisted. I could have tried to help. God bless you kids because I know you loved your mom and still do.

Hi Sierra, I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you for the pride and the love you've shown your mother. I knew your mom for a few years prior to your birth and no one deserves the pain she suffered after your mom and dad broke up. She was so excited when she talked about having her children. I wish I'd kept in touch with her, especially after she got back into TV in Lansing, but life takes people on different paths and I never did. I wish I could have been there for her to talk to, to lean on. She must have been so full of pain and frustration and heartache. But she always had you and you and your sisters must have seemed like a shimmering piece of gold she could hang onto until, in the end she just couldn't hold on anymore. The tree you planted will grow strong and tall and it's roots will run deep and stand strong through any storm, just like you will. Be strong, be brave, be kind and be proud. She'll always be looking over you.

This is a very sad ending of life for a very talented and wonderful person. I wish that she could have reached out to someone for help. I do know from experience that usually when it comes to that point it is too late. So sad because there were so many that would have helped her. I knew her from many years ago when she was a reporter in Lansing. It was so evident that she was going up and that the sky was the limit. The one thing that sticks out in my mind the most was that she was a very kind person. I never saw her snap at anyone or talk badly about them. What a rarity. God rest her beautiful soul and look over her children that obviously loved her so much.

not everyone knew my mom. but everyone thought they had the right 2 judge my mom. She was a spectacular women. But not everyone saw that, because of all the things people said about her. she means the world 2 me. and i know she is right next 2 me when i go 2 sleep, and when i am @ school. She always would wake up @ 1 am in the morning to sleep w/ me because i had a nightmare, or help me w/ homework. She always was the best party througher, and was nice 2 everyone she met. She always helped out @ my school , and was always a field trip volunteer. I wish she had never got into knowing Les p. But he led her down the wrong path, but no one , not even us could help that. I still have nightmares about my mom. ANd riding my bike by her house, and there are realator people there. It makes me sick to my stomach. but i know she will live forever and ever. And i will soon live w/ her . Even though all the things that peanda, and al those other sites where people make up fake things about my mom. I dont care. If they take their own time to write something nasty, and rude about my mom. It means they are jealous. I love my mom. And she lives forever. and ever in my heart. Mom your the best!!!!!!! My mother was the best, and no one can take that way from me

Hi Sierra, You probably don't know me too much - - I painted your house for your mom when you lived in Royal Oak. It was that really big house. it was right before she sold it and you moved to Birmingham that I had painted it. My daughter is Annabella. Anyway, I really liked your mom and I just want you and the your brother and sister to know that. I never got to know her much but she was a cool lady. We did some things together sometimes. - - take care, Jay Dinneen

I knew your mom for many years, we worked in a couple cities together as we were both working our way up in the news business. She was a wonderful person and a very good friend to me. We both were pregnant at the same time several times-and it was always fun to compare notes, and complain about being big and trying to hurry to cover breaking stories. When the Detroit newspapers were on strike, she and I met up every day, covering the situation in Sterling Heights. We were both pregnant at the time, and even though I knew I would be sitting there for a long time, I knew it would be okay because Suzanne would be there too. She was so proud of you all, and enjoyed showing pictures of you in all of your activities. She loved being a mom...she told me that many, many times. I would just like you to know that I am thinking of all of you, and that your mom was a good friend, and a special person, and I will always miss her. God Bless all of you, and know that she is still with you and watching you, and loving you.

To Suzanne's Children....My fondest memory is when your mom made me go to cheerleading tryouts. As everyone who knows both her and I, she was very talented and coordinated, and I was not. However, she made me believe in myself and gave me confidence to go tryout. Of course your mom made the team...I didn't come close. Barb

I got to know Suzanne while working with her for only 3-months in West Bloomfield, MI. My desk was in the same corner as hers in a tiny office. She was always energetic and enthusiastic. A great spirit to be around. At the time she also worked for channel 7. Seeing her on TV over the weekends then at work on Monday was like working with a celebrity. Suzanne was very cool. A beautiful person. May she rest in peace. ps.. I think this website is outstanding. I hope everyone that knows Suzanne will see this website.

I did not know her personally but had friends who did. They desctibed her as a lively, charasmatic and capable person. I feel badly that she was not able to reach out to anyone to help her with the divorce and aftermath. IT sounds as if she was not able to coem to grips with that loss. It is so unnessessary that this had to happen. It is very sad. May she rest in peace.

I was an intern at WDIV during the late 1990's. Though I didn't know Suzanne personally, she seemed like a wonderful, energetic person. I just wish she would have gotten help with her troubles before she made such a tragic decision. She had so much going for her. My condolences go out to her family and friends.

Its just an awful thing. Things can change so quickly in life; its cruel. One thing I won't do is criticize her ex-husband or the news organizations that ran the stories about her troubles. I'm sure they didn't want any of this to happen, either.

I do not know Suzanne but my heart goes out to her friends, family and especially her children that she left behind. It's troubling to hear of a person who was apparently so successful and loved by many to come upon such hard times. It makes you realize how short life is and how important it is to check on your friends when they are down. Thank you for sharing the pictures of her that give her more humanity than the one that is widely published of her arrest. May God bless her loved ones left behind - keep her memory alive with something good.

I remember Suzanne when at WLAJ and I remember telling her she is a good reporter with a wonderful presence that she would do well in a bigger market. So I was glad to see that she did indeed make it to Detroit. But what an awful ending. She sounded so desperate trying to keep up appearances. If only she knew how many people thought highly of her. I pray for her family and children who are suffering so much right now.
