my name is besma, i'm from algiers, i learned about the tragic day, i'm so sad, i jnow what her family is feeling now, i also lost a friend who was killed 5th sept 2006 at the university, stef is in a better place and she is watching over all the people she loved.

I don't know Stephanie or her family,but I just wanted to say that I am terribly sorry for your loss I am a mother and I couldn't imagine going through the pain you are going through. JUSTICE will be served for you. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Nothing can make Stefanie's Family and Friends understand how this could happen, Just know that she is in Heaven and we are in HELL and that is where sick people are around us. and boy are some people ever sick....... So my condolences to all that cared about her ,she sure looked like she was alot of fun to be with...........luck you

Since new year eve passed the day until your death on Jan 1st of 2008, it is not make a sence for the first homidice of 2008. You laid to rest, your family, your friends, your relatives will be missed you. I'm giving your family simpathy, keep feel strong, positive, remember her forever since she was born! I really socked what happened and it will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!

My niece went to school with these young people, this tragedy makes one believe that the Youth Offenders Act should give stiffer sentences, much stiffer sentences. God bless Stefanie and comfort her loving family.

i didn't know stefanie personally, but i have heard about her tragic story and would like to give my deepest sympathy to her family and friends. she was a beautiful girl and i am deeply saddened to hear that such a terrible thing happened to her. rest in peace.<3

i am a mother in edmonton and i read your story today with my 7 year old boy.my son thought the picture of your daughter cringing her face on the telephone was a picture from u-tube at first.i told him she probably was a goofy, happy ,type of girl and loved her friends and life.i giggled when he said that a little but then told him what truly happened.ive been teaching my son about life and death for a while now.he knows eveything about a friend of mine who died 8 years ago who i will never forget and still visit her often.i know stephanie will always be there for you even if in your dreams when you ask.i believe,in miracles,spirits and angels.they are also gods children;to me,they are always on your side,they always walk with you,drive with you,sleep with you except you cant see them.someone had to of put us on this earth and if you truly believe,you will see god and your loved ones when its time .another place;where,there will be just as much laughter and love,hugs and kisses and perhaps that extra mcdonalds or tim hortons in the sky.your daughter had one of those faces that everyone could love,you can just look at some people and know how generous and caring they truly are.all the bows in her hair show that she was still mommys little girl. i believe she will be one of those guardian angels with her own guardians because of her sweetness ,age and childhood spirit,everyone up there will be looking after her.theres one more thing i wanted to express and it changed my life forever.my son and i the other day were driving in the car and we were talking about life,weird huh for a 7 year old!but i told him because he is my life(we have been alone together for 7 years now)i wouldnt want to carry on if something were to happen to him,(i figure why should i stick around). i just wanted him to know how much i love him.you know what he told me,he said mom even though if something were to happen to any of us life is to good to let go.the other person would be with god so why wouldnt you or me want to enjoy whats left.he said there are always memories and other people around that need to be taken care of.after that day i was just in awe,i really didnt know what to say.ive always been scared of death and especially losing someone close to me.i was never sure i believed in heaven,i hveasister with cancer and a mother as well,i truly believe now because of my son that if anything were to happen that its okay to carry on,life isnt supposed to be easy,theres always good and bad and it only makes you stronger,because my son told me so.god bless you and your family,and im so sorry for your loss.sincerely,from st.albert,alberta tammy and mitchell dedla
